Royal At Queens Hotel Singapore Guest Reviews
Very helpful staff but there is no free wifi in the room.

Easy and efficient check in, recently remodeled and clean rooms. Just wish it had more than on 120 volt power supply. Otherwise, very good hotel at a great price, at least for Singapore.

I arrived at the hotel at 7 am, a few hours before the official check-in time, and the hotel staff graciously let me check-in at 9 am. It wasn't diffcult to find a way to kill time until then as their were plently of places to explore around the hotel. However, although the staff was kind they were not particularly accomodating. They neither led me to my room, as is customary, or explained to me how to gain entrance to the elevators, which were security protected. But the room was 100% true to its protograph- the part which to me mattered most. So, overall it was a good experience!

I paid NZ$440 for a twin room, including buffet breakfast, for a two night stay on our way to London. Room was small but comfortable, considering we did not spend alot of time here except sleeping, although we did find the beds rather firm. Nice outlook towards Orchard road and bonus early check at 8 am at no extra cost. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. Hotel is very handy to metro just a few minutes walk down the road. A very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

Room is average size with 2 smallish queen beds (larger singles?), we ended up pushing the beds together against one wall so the kids wouldn't roll off (8yo and 4yo). Friendly staff and generally good housekeeping. The electronic light switches froze late one night and we couldn't turn off the lights. Had to pull out the keycard to turn off power so we could sleep. Other than that no problems. Bathroom has a set of scales which came in handy for a baggage check prior to departure. Location is excellent - 50m from the Bras Basah MRT station, a block away from 2 large shopping malls and a large chain grocery store. 10 min walk to the Bugis markets (which also has a Singapore Tourist Centre) and generally within walking distance to the computer and A/V towers at Sim Lim and Adelphi. Taxi was fairly easy to catch out the front but most of the time we made the trek using the MRT down to Orchard station for more shopping and food. Check in at 2pm, check out 12pm. 4 out of 5.
