We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We knew about the renovations that are ongoing, but our room on the 18th floor was great for the special weekend price. We were right next to our shows and found fun restaurants within easy walking distance and a fun wine bar with live Jazz on Friday night just across the street.

The room we were given was absolutely disgraceful! We paid $359 for a double room, and you couldn;t swing a cat in there! The beds were like two toddler beds, and the bathroom was filthy!!

The only good point is that the hotel is close to Times Square, that area of the 8th av is not the best places to stay at nyc. Maybe when the refurbishment works are completed the hotel will not have that 70's style

It was better than I expected! I booked a renovated room with 2 beds, the room was in good size, clean and comfy. I would definately recommend to my friends!

I totally get why one would avoid the Times Square/Broadway/Rockefeller Center/Bryant Park area like the plague, but if you're a tourist with limited time in the big city, it is pretty awesome to be in the middle of it all. This place was smack dab in the heart of the wonderful madness, right next to the train and bus stations and just really convenient. The staff was nothing special and elevators painfully slow, but the rooms were cozy and clean and all I could have asked for. Would definitely return.

Magnificent position. Free-of-charge there is nothing (WiFi, the safe etc.). Even a small coffee table was not in a room.

Paint peeling, seems like everything in the room is stapled together, hallway smells, ceiling also cracking. This is a hotel that should not be open during its renovation. The staff is nice and the elevators are nice.

I did a one night stay and it was just a place to crash so it did the job in that respect, but if you're looking for amenities in bedding, bathroom and additional services I would wait until the renovations are done.

This hotel was in a great location, we could see times square from our window! The Lion King show was on the same block, as was the subway and central park was a short walk away. The room was small, but bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was good, which was all we needed. We found the service good (our shower taps werent working properly and when we called reception there was a service repair man there within 5 minutes)

I have stayed at Milford plaza many time before. Excellent & convenient location. Rooms very small. Cannot move inside. No food service. No even coffe inthe morning available at the hotel. Staff friendly. Perhaps should charge less to have better occoupancy. I will return to the Hotel Because of his excellent location. Thank you

Staff very nice and friendly. Room was looked after daily and clean towels left each time. Ours was a twin room, beds very comfortable but the decor was in need of a touch up. In general we were very happy to have stayed in the Milford Plaza and would definitely use it again when we return to The Big Apple!
