Sibiu Climate

Sibiu has a temperate climate with an average annual temperature of around 9ºC. In July and August, high temperatures may exceed 25ºC, while night-time lows in the winter will sometimes descend to nearly -10ºC.

Getting There & Around

Sibiu has an international airport and can easily be accessed directly from foreign countries. Several major airlines make regular flights in and out of this city from Munich and Vienna. The city is also connected to the rest of the country by numerous bus and train lines.

Walking is the best way to tour the medieval city limits and is often the only way to reach certain tourist sites. Public buses take people from the downtown to the suburbs. Taxis are common as well, and the drivers may speak German if they do not speak English.
