Location
Situated in the administrative and historic centre of Sofia, the Rodina Hotel offers views of the Vitosha Mountain or of the city. stayed at the rodina in may 2011 and really enjoyed it. the piano bar rounds off an evening very well.other facilities are right up there.clean room and helpful staff

For someone who travels a lot, this hotel is fine for both business or pleasure, but somehow it has a stigma over its local reputation. So if you are a business-type person who is sensitive when people ask where you are staying in Sofia, you might choose another place.

With some investments, this hotel would be very nice. At the moment, only the price (for the value) is nice!

Once very grand is now quite tired in decor. Clean and efficient, and although the reception staff were helpful they quite dour. The breakfast was ok, the eggs were the best, very delicious scrambled. Very central, perfect for for sightseeing and transport connections from airport (only 20mins in cab) and cheap. The swimming pool is indoors, which is a bit disappointing for anyone fancing a wee sunbathe and dip.
