the internet is free and the speed is good. breakfast is also good and free. Just the stairs are a little narrow for me, and I feel this hotel a little like a motel.

Very good location...within walking distance to sites and transportation. Old building, therefore certain items were undersized, such as hallways, door widths. Heater wasn't working or working well and it got chilly (late Sept). Near good casual eateries and is an interesting neighborhood.

The location was great - and thats about the best I can say about the place. The hallways were creepy and small, the place dingy and felt unsafe. Dirty for sure - I wore clean socks and walked across the carpet in my room and they were dirty. Each room does not have its own climate control. This is a big deal for me because I was freezing the entire time I was here and ended up in urgent care upon my return home. Freezing cold with no climate control - the room was funky and not at all what I was expecting. Bathroom was dirty and poorly maintained. Avoid this property.

The location was fabulous. The room was great except the location of the TV was awkward. It was great having a fridge and microwave and they even provided two bottles of spring water a day. The "make your own" waffles at breakfast were delicious. We even enjoyed meeting foreign tourists staying there. I would definately stay again.

We will never stay there again...we arrived and as we were checking in they said...our elevator is broken! We didnt know another hotel in the area so we had to suck it up! Put us on the 6th floor & never offered to take our stuff up! Asked for a late check out and she said 1PM...I said perfect! 12:30 pounding on the door..The guy redely said "Don't you answer your phone?" I said I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth...the guy said "Front desk has been calling you since noon...Check out is at noon!!!" very sternly. I said our phone hasnt rung..he turned away from me and started walking down the hall calling the front desk..Will never stay there again just on principle. They should have contacted everyone! and from what they said it was broke for a bit of time!! Never even offered with our bags.

Had to endure a 5 flight walk up because the elevator wasnt working and would not be repaired until after the weekend. Stale donuts for breakfast, generally unhelpful and uncaring staff and borderline decrepit room facilities make for a poor value. Next time I'll spend the extra 25$ a night to stay at the Sheraton a few blocks away.

Excellent value for the location. The air conditioner was somewhat noisy but necessary. Fridge in room was useful, I don't recall if there was a microwave. Staff friendly and helpful. We had problem with our room keys, apparently the system is set up so only one key is valid at a time, though normally we have one each so we can each have access to the room. We asked for and were given a second key, but we could only use one. Every time the second key was scanned, it wiped the first. Other Hotyels manage to issue two keys without problems, so maybe this could be looked at.
