Location
The Rixos Libertas is a thirty minute drive from the airport, and one and a half kilometres from the port area where visitors can take a boat trip to the nearby islands of Lopud and Lokrum.
Rooms
The two hundred and fifty four rooms at the Rixos Libertas offer balconies with panoramic sea views. Rooms also come equipped with flat screen TV's, safe, bathrobe and slippers, mini bar, and high speed Internet access.
Restaurant
The hotel offers a choice of two restaurants the Mozaik restaurant specialising in Dalmatian, Mediterranean and international cuisine, and Le Select, an a la carte restaurant with French inspired dishes. The hotel also has two snack bars.
General
The Rixos Libertas Dubrovnik Hotel is a very well equipped and modern hotel in an excellent position. Amongst the hotel facilities are the Rixos Spa with treatments and massages, sauna, Jacuzzi, tropical showers, a choice of five bars, a nightclub with live music and DJ, and three swimming pools.

our three nights in Rixos was a little disappointing. Staff were efficient and all places nice and clean but the pool area was rather horrid. Chairs were packed tight and unruly local kids were all over the outside area making a terrible noise every afternoon and jumping off our pool walls into the ocean. It was impossible to find a quiet spot to relax. Awful food by the pool too.

We stayed here in May 2012 and while the hotel is a quality establishment only 15 mins walk from the Old Town, the value leaves a bit to be desired. Wifi is complimentary but only available in the lobby while the "sea view room" consisted of a 5 degree view looking backwards from the main sliding door. Shower design left a lot to be desired with it being impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom floor. Most disappointing however was the extraordinary prices of food and drink which was 3-5 times what you paid in the central tourist hub of the Old Town. All up though, a very comfortable, spacious hotel in a lovely location.

I was lucky to get into this hotel at a very cheap price. I did not have a room with a spectucular view but this compensated by the sheer luxery of the room. The amenities were excellent and the pool large and very refreshing. Breakfast was also excellent. I travel a lot and I am prepared to make sacrifices by flying with low cost carriers and staying in 3 star hotels. It was nice to experience something different.
