Riviera Hotel Dubai
5 out of 5

The staff at this hotel were excellent. We arrived at 6.30am and were not booked in until 2.00pm. The staff found us a room straight away. When we informed them that we would be leaving early the next morning and would therefore not require the complimentary breakfast they insisted that take advantage of the breakfast on offer that day, which we did and which we found to be excellent quality.

A hotel that I enjoyed very much: friendly, welcoming staff, an excellent large room with comfortable furnishings and a large bathroom, a great view from my balcony over Dubai Creek, a good breakfast served late into the morning. Air conditioning was perfect too.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good location for catching the Big Bus tour. Right on the creek for the Dhow cruise. Although a bit older, it is well maintained.

If you dram of 5* glitz and beach access, don't stay here. For a Dubai experience stop-over few days the location is superb. Creek view rooms with balconies look over all the boat activity across the creek- easy walk to Gold and Spice Souks and across the road to a Big Bus Tour stop. The service was impeccable in this comfortable 4*- international breakfast excellent. No gym etc.

This motel was great. It was very roomy, we had three girls in the one room and had plenty of room. It overlooks the river which is beautiful and the airconditioner works wonderful as we were there in summer so it is very hot. The breakfast is wonderful, there is such a wide variety of food to suit everyone. The staff were great and very helpful. The hop on hop of bus stopped in front and we were also able to get picked up from there for a tour that we had booked. They arrange ariport pick up and drop of at a very reasonable price as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here before. We are not beach people & this hotel suits us. The Staff are VERY helpful & nothing was a problem for them. No bar, but we can live with that. There is always the Irish Pub. You will find it very handy for shipping in the Spice & Gold Souks. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Right opposite Big Bus stop and Dinner Cruises. Get a creek view room it is worth it.

Is not on positively good place because they are the classic sights over they are far. The sightseer a bus has a stop opposite the hostel. Only the creek watching room good, but the single a little bit expensive one. The breakfast delicate and abundant. Internet available, but not cheap. The prices was good in Dubai relation. RECOMMENDED-PABLO

Riviera Hotel should primarily be recommended for it's ideal location in the old part of Dubai. You should remember to take a Creek view room, which is certainly worth the additional 75 AED. The hotel is 'dry' but you have less than 200 meters to Radisson, with an excellent choice of restaurants and bars. The rooms are large, clean, a little worn and well air-conditioned. The breakfast buffet is great.

Very friendly and helpfl staff, we arrived early but every effort was made to have our room available in the least possible time. The room we booked was at the rear of the hotel overlooking a multi storey car park! not the most attractive location, but the size of the accommodation made up for it. The breakfast was very substantial and included fresh fruits, cereals, cheeses, cold meats, as well as the "traditional English" this was more than enough to keep us going through the day. The Asian restaurant served an extensive and delicious evening meal and was very reasonable. The only drawback was the lack of a swimming pool or patio area on which to relax and enjoy a coffee, seating is available at the front of the hotel but is practically on the road [, not very relaxing. well priced hotel, ideal for a stop-over.

This is a very well located hotel for the gold souk and the trip across the creek. It is also well located for the cheap and easy to catch public buses, including from the airport. Catch bus 401 from terminal 1, the hotel is on the route.

The Riveriera is well located in Deira, right next to a Big Bus stop which stops at many of the shopping malls, close to the Dhow trip mooring and in walking distance of the gold and spice souks. The hotel is showing signs of age but the rooms are a good size and very clean and the level of service was perfectly adequate for our requirements. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Lovely outlook over the Dubai Creek - we walked home from the Gold Souk - leisurely pace took about 20 minutes. Staff were wonderful. The peak hour traffic made it a long trip back to the hotel from the Mall of the Emirates. Big spacious room, very cheap mini bar prices - great big bed. I would stay here again anytime. Value for money.

I thought the staff were very helpful. I was told however that the hotel was licensed which it isn't. Perhaps this means something different in Dubai? Overall a nice place to stay, bed very comfortable and size of room more than adequate. I thought the location was a bit more 'central' than it was but it wasn't a huge problem. Restaurants were good.

This hotel was very well situated for my purposes, an easy walk to the gold souk, spice souk and heritage house, and very close to the abra station. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast spread was exceptional. It's unfortunate there was no exercise room. The hotel is very good value for money and I would recommend it highly. It's worth paying extra for a creek view room.
