Overpriced in every way and under staffed in every way. A very old and worn out hotel and casino that was obviously trying to fleece as much money out of every poor customer that walked through the door. To add insult to injury the movies were all $17.99 while the casino made sure there were no channels showing any free movies. Each floor smelled like old cooked food and the skeleton crew hotel staff was more concerned with their own comfort then the comfort of the paying customers. I wouldn't stay at the Riviera again if they gave rooms for free. I couldn't wait to leave the casino. Good writtens.

We had requested 2 beds for 2 guys, we got in around midnight, they gave 1 king, we asked about it & they said that's all they had so they gave us roll away. The next morning went to Front desk & requested a rm w/2 beds, they said they were busy cleaning, asked for a call when they had a room available & they clerk said they were too busy to call, rotten attitude. We just kept the room instead of fighting w/them. They need cust. service training. It doesn't take much to be pleasant!

The only problem I had was the cleanliness of the front of the hotel.

We stay here quite a bit and find the rooms clean and comfortable. The Monaco tower is great if you can get upgraded there. We love the English pub! If you look around online you an get a great rate & the best we found was here which made booking easy. They also have a small, but very nice pool here with plenty of chairs. Cabanas are very reasonable compared to the rest of the strip.

The garage elevators were broken, so I had to carry ALL of our luggage to the entrance. I then had to fight my way through the rain storm while the luggage boys just looked at me. Rooms were average, but the free wi-fi was good. The location was not very good and restaurants need help. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

If you are after a cheap hotel conveniently located between the strip and downtown for a family this is great value. However personally I would rather have paid a little more and stayed somewhere with a bit more class and a bit more modern. But for the price no complaints.

Very dated & nothing special. Rooms are ok at the right rate & it's on the strip. English pub/bar ok. Parking easy & close.

The room was a lot spacious that what we expect, the beds were really comfortable. The hair dryer didnt work at all, the room smell a lit bit of smoke even when I request a non smoking room ( understand was a change at the time of reservation). Our dissapointed part was the elevators to the Montecarlo Tower were dirty the whole time, liquids spills, sticky floors and was like that the next day in the morning.

very old one, need to be refurbished. located in the north of the strip, very far from the center. but it worth its cost for people who choose not to spend too much on accomodation.

So we get to the hotel after 6 hours of driving, wait in a line for a good 30 minutes while some drunk who was there for the billiards tournament harassed us (and everyone else in the line). We get to the front of the line and were greeted by an unexpected resort fee of 12 bucks per night :( We then haul all our luggage up to the room, try to use the key card which doesn't work. We then flagged down the maid she tried and it still didn't work, we asked if she could call down to the front to get someone up there to help us she said she couldn't. My boyfriend goes down so I can stay with our luggage, the wouldn't help him because he wasn't on the account. I then go down and the woman at the front desk is not apologetic or even nice to me when I inform her that the key does not work. I then go back up to the room and it is completely a mess (bed unmade, trash on the ground, etc). We then both go back down and tell the front desk people we want to talk to the manager and they gave us attitude with no apology! Finally the manager gets to us and shes sweet and gives us an upgrade for free and even gave us a comment sheet that we could write a letter of complaint if we wanted to. Overall a pretty annoying first day there. Then on our last day we realize my boyfriends ipod is missing, we think the maid took it because we searched EVERYWHERE. The steakhouse was pretty ok, the steak was alright (a bit salty) and price was fair but they charged us 4 bucks for a soda, kinda odd if you ask me.I'd recommend not staying here, its old, smells like cigs, ghetto area, kinda far from everything else on the strip.

We could smell the smoke on the 5th floor. It was so strong and bothered both my husband and my allergies. It was very unpleasant! The hotel needs to seriously invest in a better filtration system.

I guess I should expect low class if I ask for a smoking room. No refrigerator, even though I paid for an upgraded room. I thought the hotel was recently remodeled, but no way was the smoking wing included... the soda machines in the hall didn't work, and the casino was cleaner than my room. I'll stay elsewhere next time...

When I reserved the room, I was given an option to upgrade to queen size beds over the default full size beds. So I paid the extra for the upgrade. Upon checking in, they informed me there were no queen beds only the full size, and what i paid extra for was to be in a different tower. Was not pleased that I paid extra and did receive what was listed as a option.

Far away from the city center. should get more employees at the front desk (we have waited in a long que for about 1,5 hours to check in). no microwave and no tea maker in room:( Thanks to Amanda - she was very understanding and helpful. they should get more stuff like her:)

Hotel is on the strip even though it is far down by Stratosphere. We upgraded to a nicer room, but it was still very small. It was just fine for the price. Beware of the $7 per night resort fee. It took forever to get a drink while playing slots.

I got to Vegas around 130 am and was tired from standing in line at the Riveria for 2 1/2 hours because they only had three staff working. When I get to the counter they tell me that I cannot check in till 4 pm 14 Jan. because they are still checking in reservations from Friday 13 Jan. So I ended up sleeping in my truck.
