Great location to transit for so many attractions that Chicago has to offer. My room (very eco-friendly!!) had a beautiful view of the river. Friendly staff, very helpful with any questions I had about getting around Chicago. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Bacino's, their restaurant, was very good with very reasonable prices, great staff!!!

Friendly staff. Clean/ comfortable room (although they could do a bit better job cleaning the room each day). Great location right in the heart of downtown Chicago. Short train ride away from nearly everything.

The front desk staff was unbelievably helpful. They solved an Orbitz reservation mistake that they really didn't have to.

Both my 23-year old daughter and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Restaurant was very good, lots to see and do within walking distance. Hotel has a lively atmosphere. We felt like we were in the heart of the city.

We were met as we went through the entry door by a clerk who completed our registration in less than a minute, at a computer terminal in the wall of the main hallway. We went directly to our room. The room, like most old hotels was small, but the entire hotel had been recently totally redone/modernized and the room was very-cleverly and very-attractively done. It was very functional and the hotel provided many thoughtful amenities that were free--for instance a chilled, distilled water dispenser (with bottles) in each floor's elevator lobby and two free washers and dryers for guests' use as well as free wifi and wired internet connections, flat-screen TV and very-complete work desk. The decoration was very attractive and the bed comfortable. The location right on the Chicago River and just off Michigan Ave. is unbeatable. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel and in the hotel next door. There are probably ten very-good restaurants within two blocks (five minutes) of the hotel. This was our first stay there, but it won't be our last.

Nice easy check in and check out. They did have the water station on our floor so we were able to fill up our water bottles. They had empty water bottles, too, if you need them. It was great to be so close to Michigan Ave. We walked everywhere - to Navy Pier for the Octoberfest and fireworks, to Millenium Park, even to Sears/Willis Tower. We flew into Midway and took the Orange line in. The hotel was only a few blocks away from the State and Lake station. Very convenient. We had one of the smaller rooms in the hotel (pretty tight for 2 of us), but it was enough. All we did was sleep and shower. We were on the 4th floor and the water pressure in the shower was pretty weak. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Great location to get to Magnificant Mile, excellent food in the restaurant. Regular rooms are abit small. We had the 1 bedroom suite and it was nice to have the room. Very quiet on our floor. Would stay here again in the future.

The staff was very helpful being new visitors to the city, we needed directions for getting around. Great central location with access to all forms of transportation. Room was smaller, but very clean and updated. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful art deco decor mixed with modern and a great location make this a great hotel to stay during your trip to Chicago. The hotel is right across from the Trump tower, with the Chicago River separating it, and steps away from Michigan Ave. We would go have breakfast next door at the Corner Bakery every morning and just look around at the wonder that is downtown Chicago. Also, each floor had a bottled water refilling station. The downsides were that the beds and pillows were not that comfortable and the TV was very small. There was no iron or ironing board in the room, but they were located in a closet down the hall. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

It had been awhile, just a few years since I had been in the comfort of Club Quarters/River Hotel. Check-in was located closer to the entrance and the staff were extremely accommodating. Being in a riverside room of the Mather Tower without asking was king!

the room is fantastic with an awesome view towards the Trump center. The bathroom could be fansier, but with that price it couldn't be better!

Overall stay wasn't too bad. Our only complaint was the heat! The whole lobby/sitting area was just stifling hot and it didn't help that we had to wait out there for over 40 minutes for our room to be available even though it was past check in time. The hotel was very gracious about that though and comped our breakfast the next morning. Rooms were equally as hot and A/C didn't seem to be operating at full capacity. Rooms very nice and amenities galore.....would probably stay again, but hope for better HVAC in the next room! Our only other minor complaint were the beds - hard as a rock!

This was my second trip to Chicago and my first with my husband. We were there to have our 'babymoon' since it was the last possible week advisable to travel by air. We wanted to stay downtown so we would have easy access to all the sites. This hotel really delivered! It was in a perfect location right next to the river where we could either hop a water taxi, bus, or regular taxi easily. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was very good but there was a Corner Bakery right next door if we wanted pastries. Two things really stood out. The hotel offered free laundry service on our floor. There was a washer and dryer recessed in the hallway (tucked out of site but notated with signs) that guests could use. Also, next to the elevator there was this nifty water cooler built into the wall and they provided plastic water bottles at no cost. The staff was very helpful and quick to respond to any question. This is definitely a place we will stay again.
