Located in the city of Hoi An, on the banks of the De Vong River, the River Beach Resort is just 40 minutes drive from the Danang International Airport. This was the second time we have stayed in this hotel, the first time was in 2005 and we loved it the food was not good but the hotel was very good, this tme they asked us to up grade for extra 20 dollars a day and I must say it was not worth it no different than the last time we stayed this hotel should not be 4 star the breakfast was the worst food we have ever had. 4/10/07

A great place to stay with easy transport to Hoi An old town.The rooms are a bit tired but the price made it, overall, a good value stay.

The rooms were as comfortable as a resort hotel, but it''s small enough to feel friendly and less impersonal than the resorts. The location is slightly off the beach which means you have to use the ''public beach'' area, but has the advantage that there are many good local restaurants, shops and other services available. The hotel has a boat and plans to use this as a shuttle to Hoi An city. This will be great when it goes ahead.

This hotel is a fine 2-3 star hotel but is definitely not a 4 star as advertised. Hoi An is a beautiful location and there are much better value for money hotels available. The manager trying to add a maintainance charge on our bill was not well received or the extra bed charge when clearly there was not an extra bed in the room! We will return to Hoi An but not to this hotel.

The location to the beach is fantastic and only metres from the door, but be aware that the town is about 5 kilometres away. There are very good local restaurants close to the hotel and a shuttle service runs into town every few hours. For other times, it only costs about US$1 for a ride on a motorbike and I actually enjoyed walking. I preferred staying at the beach and going into town each day than the other way around, but this may not suit everyone.
