Staff is great. I met the general manager and he sure seems to stay on top of things.

We were pleasantly surprised at the level of service and amenities provided at the Riu. The Junior Suite Ocean View was beautiful with a sitting room area two steps down and a king bed. View over the ocean from the balcony was terrific. The vast variety of the food in the restaurants left us very satisfied. Beach is long and great for swimming and walking. All the staff seemed to be having fun!

Well for starters as soon as we arrived we received a complementary upgrade to the Riu Palace. I though it couldn't get any better then the Vallarta, but holy moly our stay at the Palace was phenomenal! This was our first time staying with Riu and we will definitely be booking with them again! As guests of the Palace we were able to use all the amenities of the Vallarta. We were equally impressed with everything over at the Vallarta. Too bad our stay only lasted 5 days. We will be sure to go back and visit Orlando in the purple room, Cesar on the beach and the many wonderful servers at the buffet! We did find it a little strange that our room cleaners would not replace the used hand towels and face clothes every day, but other then that our room was immaculate! Can't wait to go back!

The hotel was a last minute trip and for the price I can't complain. Food was average, service was great, beach was beautiful and area was perfect. The only complaint I could possibly have would be that the beds were like cement.
