Location
The Riu is located right on Mahoe Bay Beach in the north of Jamaica just a 4.5 kilometres from Montego Bay. Enjoy Mo' Bay and all the activities like the Hip Strip for stores, food and more. The resort is within 3 km of Montego Bay Intl Airport and close to the eclectic Jamaican Craft Market and historically famous Doctor's Cave Beach.

Had a great time, the facility was great with friendly staff. Great food. Bad: the bathroom sinks has small insects (fly), the hotel beach was muddy, we went to the near by Dr. Coves beach which has a clear water.

All of the cash was stolen from my wallet in my locked room! This hotel has a theft problem. If you decide to stay there make sure EVERYTHING is in the room safe. Our Nintendo DS and a pair of headphones were also stolen.

check in was very,very slow. received key and given directions. had to walk at least quarter mile(no shuttles).opened door to find someone already in room. walked al way bact to lobby, another 20min to get key and no one seemed to care. too many kids around swim-up bar, everyone was upset about that. just not happy with this resort.

Having been to Jamaica numerous times, we were very pleased with our first trip to the Riu Mo-bay. It was nice to be close to the airport so that our first day was not wasted on a two hour bus ride to Ocho Rios. We arrived early at the hotel before check in but was taken to our room right away. Staff was excellant, the landscaping is perfect and it is the cleanest resort we have ever been to. The manager runs a tight ship and everyone seems to really enjoy their jobs. We would definately stay again.. It was a awesome vaca, only wish it was longer.
