Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa A Wyndham Grand Resort Guest Reviews
We loved the Rio Mar. The grounds were beautiful. The ocean was nice, although it did have a lot of waves. My kids loved jumping them. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again. The pool was cold. My kids loved the water slide. We went over Christmas, so there was a lot of shows at the hotel, puerto rican dancers. Santa came to hotel and gave out candy and took pics with the kids. We can't wait to go back.

The facility itself was nice however, the service and attention of some of the staff was not what we expected. Our AC did not go above 65 degrees, and the hot water in the shower did not stay hot for very long. When we expressed our concerns about this to the front desk they sent some one to our room to teach us how to work them. We also complained about yelling down the hall, and screaming children in the room next door who would bang on the wall and on the rail on the balcony. over all it is not the experience that we were expecting based on other reviews and the price. Dragonfly, their tour guide and transportation provider was absolutely amazing. the girls there went out of their way to make sure we had all of the tours that we wanted booked by the night we arrived. the guides and transportation guys were absolutely amazing and professional.

Room had a musty/moldy odor. They were sandblasting a roof/railings on a balcony all day Friday--VERY LOUD!

I was a little disappointed by the amentities at the hotel. To start, upon arrival, the floor of my room did not appear to have been cleaned. There was a little debris and several hair strands on the floor. I had to ask at the front desk for it to be swept and mopped but it took them so long to send housekeeping I told them to do it the next morning. (I had an evening flight and was already very tired from the flight and the drive from the airport.) The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful--I didn't want to do all of the prearranged activities and tours with Dragonfly--the tour group they use--but they were able to give me info to explore on my own. The only Wi-Fi hotspot in the hotel was in the longe/bar. Lstly I was overcharged for parking--I was charged several days for valet parking when I self- parked. I've yet to have this refunded.. Driknks/meals overpriced compared to my other travel/hotel experiences. Overall, just OK.

It was a very good hotel and the room comfort was splendid. I was afraid on seeing some reviews that there were bed bugs in the rooms. I did not face any problems and i could only find some mosquitoes on the balcony. Wish i could have gotten the ocean view room as it has a splendid view.
