Location
Rimkok Resort is located on the banks of Chiangrai 's Mae Kok River, near the ancient capital of the fabled King Mengrai. The downtown and the airport are only 5 kilometres from the resort.
Rooms
The resort boasts 256 spacious guestrooms that are nicely decorated and facilitated with numerous in-room amenities, providing the much-desired comfort to the guests.
Restaurant

Grounds are well kept and location is nice and quiet, yet not far from town. The hotel lobby and rooms look like they have been re-furbished recently and are clean. It would be nice if there was a box of tissues in the room, and if the bath-room is equipped with a bidet. For the price, we had good value for money.

The Rimkok was a beautiful hotel at one time. The architecture is distinctly Thai, and the location on the river is lovely. It is just sad that they are not keeping it up very well. The rooms smell musty and the outside of the hotel is turning black from the humidity. The staff was also only marginally helpful. We wanted to go to dinner at another location and finally had to call another hotel to arrange service to pick us up and return us to the Rimkok. For the money, the value is fairly good, but this is a hotel which is slowly falling into disrepair and will shortly not live up to it''s high star rating.
