Residencial Estoril Hotel Lisbon Guest Reviews
This hotel is on the 2nd floor of a very old building. Good luck finding it in the middle of the day if you can't read Portuguese. And if you check in at night, you better have their phone number handy. You have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs and buzz yourself into (assuming you know to buzz the 2nd floor) a very scary, completely dark entryway. There you find an elevator barely big enough for one person. The staff is nice enough, but the sink, toilet, and shower all had problems. No internet, despite the description, and "breakfast" consists of coffee, bread, and juice. The VIP Saldanha I stayed at previously was a million times better. Brand new everything, flat screen TV, refrigerator, etc. Go there if you can.

It is a modest place with good location. It is clean but there is no heat and the furniture is of low quality.

Price balances the quality. Very lean breakfast, too small shower cabin for north Europeans, mattress springs cause printings in your chest. As I say, cheap in price and quality!

The hotel was basic but clean and cheaper than others we've stayed in. There are good cafés and restaurants nearby. The Goanese gentleman on the desk couldn't have been more helpful: we had two wake-up calls and he phoned for an early morning taxi, which arrived before we got downstairs. We plan to stay there again.
