Residencial Caravela Lisbon Guest Reviews
A lot of traffic during the night, located at a traffic lights controlled crossing.

Don't ever go there!!! The walls are so thin, we couldn't sleep for 1 minute. We heard everything, from the cars on the street to the woman coughing two floors up. Those 2 nights in Lisbon were a nightmare. What a pity for such a beautiful city!

The Residencial Caravela is probably the cheapest 3* hotel you will find in central lisbon. There were noticeable amenities missing compared with other 3* hotels i have stayed in but i guess i got what i paid for. This is NOT a honeymoon suite & i would question it's star grading ! However it is clean & city centred & all i needed was an inexpensive room for a few nights. The breakfast on offer was average: one choice of cereal, bread rolls, ham, cheese, orange -not juice. No fruit or yoghurts here ! The pillows were very lumpy & uncomfortable & i had to roll a blanket to get a good nights sleep. The air conditioning was the window !! The mini-bar in the lobby was also out of lager. These are the amenities that should come as standard in a 3* but as i said- You get what you pay for ! And at £26 a night,- i did. 6.5/10.

This is a basic hotel with no trimmings. WARNING - IT IS A SMOKERS HOTEL, there are NO NON-SMOKING rooms, the insulation around the doors is poor so the smoke filters into your room regardless. The bed linen and the pillows smelt of smoke. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable enough. Not all rooms were air conditioned. The breakfast was basic contintental style with corn flakes, coffee/tea, Orange cordial (not juice), bread, brioche, jam, butter, cheese and ham.

Basic accomodation, but clean, good location and very cheap! I suppose my only comment is that the beds were quite uncomfortable - very lumpy pillows and being tall, my feet hung off the end of the bed
