Location is nice and simple to find. The room is spacey and really nice?, with all cooking amenities. Nice huge balcony. Very comfortable bed. Only one big dissappointement - the housekeeping. On arrival we found the room not very well done, quite dusty, but further it got worse. The next day after the hk visit it was left dirty, half of the bed undone, towels on the floor..i have left a note on that on the reception, the next day the room was done but the balcony door left wide open and all the lights were on. So during the night we had to deal with some mosquitos. Otherwise they stay was pleasant and we are happy with it.

The room is spacious. It's got a mini kitchen. Staff are nice. Overall experience is good. There is wifi in the room, but can never get connected. I don't know why parking has to be valet parking. $20/ day is too much.

Used to stay every year sometimes twice a year. They always gave us a great room staff was nice and attentive. Even though it went downhill a little after they filed for bankruptcy I thought I would still support them. This time they gave us a small room. Had to call daily for stuff we needed and maid service. One day the room was not cleaned and they had not changed the sheets for three days. The maid said she was tired. I told her to just do the bed and dishes. She just did the bed. Valet guys are the best the rest act like your bothering them. The last time we ate at the restaurant they treated us like second class citizens so we skipped that this time Their are many other very nice hotels to stay at. This place has gone down hill they should just make it an Econlodge and get it over with.

Generally, I travel as a single, but my sister and I were in Ft. Lauderdale for a weekend. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I'm glad I selected this particular hotel and I will certainly stay there in the future. I've visited the area 3 times in the past four years and stayed at a different hotel each time. I think this was the best out of 3 hotels. I do recommend this hotel!

there were a few things that could have made the stay more enjoyable, missing coffee pot in the room, booked two rooms together, same credit card, nowhere near one another, not even on the same floor, additional charge for parking car. pool location totally in a shaded area

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was great ,nice and quiet,no problems. This time the hotel had fire alarms going off every 15 minutes starting at 9:15am and continuing endlessly.I was notified of the fire alarm but not to the extent of it being constant. Housekeeping missed giving us new soaps and had to call 11pm when I arrived back at the hotel. Nice hotel but there should have been an accomodation of some sort for the noisy alarms.

We were at the Ford Lauderdale for a five day vacation. The area where the hotel is located is on a quieter side of the city. It is on the other side of the main street from the beach; about seven minutes walk from the beach. The beach is very nice, crystal clear water. The hotel is located right on the waterway with a water taxi stop right beside it - great means to get around the city and see houses and boats of the reach and famous. The junior king suite we stayed at was very nice; had a small kitchen (microwave, fridge, cook top) washing machine and dryer; sitting area with couch, two chairs and flat screen TV, and then the bedroom slightly separated from the sitting area. The best of all was the balcony with a wonderful view on the city and the waterways. The hotel was very clean, modern, nicely decorated and the staff friendly and courteous.

The $20.00 parking is a rip off and should be included in the price. This should be clearly marked and included in the rate. It makes comparison shopping impossible. While I know this is trend in the hospitality industry, for those who travel often, anyone doing this needs to be singled out as well as those who add resort fees and do not quote that in the full rate. There is also no option to self park or park in the street making the rip off even worse.

Great Hotel!Very nice restrnt, cozy lounge, small pool.Rooms where excellent! I wanted 2 eat n sleep.I got plenty,in a quiet suite overlooking the water. It's not really a beach Hotel. The beach was about 4 blocks away. Did'nt like that as a guest you have to pay for parking over night,20 bucks! You can park in front of the Hotel, but U gotta move or feed the meter by 8am. All that said,I would only stay there if I go back to Ft.Laud. Big! Big! Up to Louis U ARE THE MAN!

Great restaurant and room service. The room was modern, clean and great for hanging out. We were delighted to have a washer and dryer. Balcony view of the ocean, between buildings, was nice. Shaded pool, but great cabanas on the canal. Long distance walk to most anything.

Beautiful hotel, lovely room but service not so great. Our room didn't get serviced and we had to practically beg for more toilet paper!
