Although foyer and ground floor areas under renovation, did not detract from the high quality and comfort of the rooms. Leaves Travelodge for dead.

The room itself was first class and the club lounge, food and service were excellent, but our experience was soured by lack of detail. On arrival we had to manage our own bags, no assistance was offered, we accepted that this may be the case due to the refurbishment work. We entered our room and unpacked, went to turn on the tv, no remote, we rang reception and they bought a replacement. We wanted to see what movies were on offer, the remote would not access the movie channel, we perseverred for some time and ended up ringing for assistance. 2 other remotes were bought to us, the assistant stayed to help, none worked, by this time it was 9.30pm, the only resolution offered was to move rooms to which we declined as it was to late, we tried to watch free to air tv and were frustrated to find less channels than we had at home and no guide. We feel these things should be checked prior to arrival of any patrons. Being that we had paid $415 for a club room it was a bit unacceptable and on our departure we were not asked how our stay was otherwise we would have highlighted the problem. Our stay was intended to be a relaxing get away that we have at this time every year to celebrate our birthdays and wedding anniversary that all fall in the one week. It was good but not great.

Have had several anniversary weekends away with my wife at this hotel and everytime has been a memorable stay. Best compliment to this hotel is its staff which are always friendly and ready to help with any needs/requirements.

It is shame they have a multilevel hotel with one washing machine to use. I think to pay for washing machine and drier was not called for. Once all of the renovations are completed I am sure it would be a nice hotel in the hope the pricing would come down as at the moment I felt it was a bit overpriced.

Extremely horrible experience in such a beautiful location. Loved the "Dome "in the same complex.

It's way cheaper to stay in Sydney than Perth at the moment. Hotel was good, breakfast was good. Shame you have to lug your suitcases up stairs from the taxi to the main lobby. Real shame about the price - the cost of the mining boom to us mere mortals.

Great location and clean rooms however, it would really do with a renovation, which is already happening I believe.

Finally getting the rennovation it needed. It will be a great hotel again. A bit expensive for both the accomodation and also the charges for food when there.

Hotel in the process of a renovation that was overdue. Will be back to former glory in the coming years.

The hotel has a great location, with spectacular sea views. It has an attractive pool area with comfortable chairs for that much-needed read or sleep. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably well-appointed. However, the halls and public areas are worn (carpets, walls, lifts, etc) and now need upgrading. Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly in reception and the concierge.

Lovely old hotel. Great staff all friendly and helpful. Location is perfect straight across the road from Scarborough Beach and great food options both at the hotel and in close proximity. We enoyed our 3 night stay. The only problem is the bathroom, shower over bath and very hard to get water right.

I'll start with a positive, the staff were all friendly and very happy. However I found for a hotel that was a luxury hotel, it's standards have fallen dramatically. As you walk into the foyer and are welcomed by staff at the reception desk, look along the back wall to your left next to the light switch. There is a rather large black mark all along the wall from people putting their hands on the wall and over time the grime has built up. You look up at the roofing and you see spider webs that have been there for goodness knows how many years as the webs are huge and extremely dusty. In the lift on the way to the room look at the walls. You can see where someone has cleaned but can only reach so high, the tops of the walls have marks where they have been half cleaned and the cleaners obviously aren’t tall enough. Walking to the rooms you see the carpets are dirty and all the walls are also dirty. Inside our room it was lovely and clean, however again if you looked up you can see where the cleaner can’t reach and the balcony is filthy with ash on the floor and hand rail where someone has put out their cigarettes. We ordered the room with the spa as a treat....... the spa was filled and when we turned the pump on a greasy black film spread out into the water.....I don’t know if the filter on the spa has every been cleaned or checked but it was pretty disgusting. We tried to pull the plug however the plug was broken where the handle was meant to be so it took us awhile to pull it out. I cleaned the greasy ring that was left behind and ran another bath, however once we pushed the spa button on, the same thing happened again. We spoke to the hotel receptionist and was told the hotel was going to be undergoing some upgrades soon. If the hotel was maintained better on a regular basis, it wouldn’t need these massive upgrades. The Rendezvous used to be a luxury hotel, I stayed there for a week on my honey moon in 1998 and it has been the place to go when I want a luxury weekend away. Last night was not luxury and apart from the lovely staff, it felt like I was staying in cheap motel. Please walk through and look around, you will see the areas I have stated here and realize, even though you may be used to it, others will walk in and spot it straight away and not be happy. Also the carpets....especially the area in front of the lifts that go to the underground car park are filthy. I hope the standards will improve as I’ve stayed at lower star hotels which were cleaner and cheaper. I have sent this exact feedback to the hotel the day we left and I still haven't heard anything from them.

We have stayed a number of times at Rendezvous. The rooms are getting a little dated but we come back because they ALWAYS have really comfortable beds & pillows. Rooms are clean, fabulous views of the ocean & the food is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely spacious room with lovely sea views. Was very clean & welcoming. Fantastic pool area, but it was a bit cold to use. In a good location with plenty of cafes and shops handy. Was a bit disappointed I left my make up bag in the bathroom when vacating and they said they hadn't found it. My silly mistake. Despite this would definitely stay again.

If you want a Beach-side hotel, this is what you should go for when visiting Perth. It's easy to access the City, Perth Airport, Jandakot Airport and Fremantle areas from Scarborough as I do for business. The views from the hotel are great especially at Sunset, and endless beaches to walk along. Although a bit dated now, it still has all the ingredients ... with a excellent Seafood Buffet on Fri & Sat nights, and a Bar area that serves food and Tapas. The pool area is spacious, and would be a hit with kids. Will stay there again.

This is an older style of building but still a very comfortable hotel on the beach. The breakfast was excellent and the buffet dinners were also good.
