The hotel has got very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It is a good place to stay for bussines travel.

The web site states that golfers enjoy hotel membership of the Shanghai Golf Club, yet none of the staff, nor even the customer services manager have heard of this. The hotel is expensive for a small room where the air conditioning only worked half the time.<br><br>EDITOR''S NOTE - we are looking into the golf issue and asking the Renaissance for clarification.

Some staff were very friendly while others were downright sullen. My room had dirty carpeting near the door entrance. Renovations to the hotel resulted in drilling and hammering lasting from 8:30am until 8:30pm. This was not very conducive for work.
