Rembrandt Hotel London
4 out of 5

The Rembrandt is perfect for visiting the V&A and as in my case - going to a show at The Royal Albert Hall. Very close to the Tube & a stroll away from Knightsbridge & Harrods. The breakfast was super & included in the price - even better. The staff were all pleasant & helpful. Would definately stay there again.

This is a very comfortable traditional hotel in an excellent location opposite the V&A and near Harrods and South Kensington tube station. Excellent breakfasts. Very well suited to middle aged and older people. Very safe area. Loved being able to pop across the road to the V&A.

Excellent location with many restaurants nearby, ten minutes stroll to Harrods plus is on the subway line to Heathrow minimising having to carry a heavy bags up/down stairs at tube stations. Staff excellent, so too the lounge with welcome open fire.

No customer service. And lazy staff!!! To many fake faces. No one helps us with our bags. They pick on which customers they like To service . They need to send their staff on customer service course and learn how to smile! Will never go there again. Unwelcoming and bad engery. Checking out was a nightmare long que... The receptionist was on the phone whilst guess are waiting to check out. To the management of Rembrandt, look at your front desk team and concierge. Your front desk team sales the hotel with a welcoming face and eager to help attitude.. That's how you run a hotel in the Knightsbridge area. Your hotel non f the above!!!!! Smoking outside your hotel. Door. night and day staff. Helloooooooooo !! I will not charge you for this feed back!!!!!!!!! Ally Arrossi

This is a fabulous hotel. The room, whilst not exactly spacious, was more than big enough for the purpose, and had everything you'd need; large, comfortable bed, complimentary tea/coffee facilities, decent bathroom. One minor criticism was the air-conditioning, as it struggled to reduce the temperature down to a comfortable (for me) level. You should also note that the indoor pool, whilst a decent size and heated to a perfect temperature, is NOT included in the room-rate; another £7.50 will be charged.

Pros: Best feature: Ideal location in London. Breakfast included. Cons: Room was way too small by any standard - double bed with one side against a wall! Although a request was made and acknowledged days earlier for early arrival (overnight flight and medical requirements), our request was ignored at check-in. Extra cost for internet access,

Very good hotel well located - a 5 minute walk to Harrods & the Knightsbridge shops, 2 minutes to the Undergound tube station & local restaurants and opposite the Victoria & Albert museum which is a MUST visit. Our room was smaller than expected based on the misleading website, resulting in change to a higher level & therefore greater cost but very worthwhile because of the location. The staff are not very co-operative, we believe due to their lack of training & verbal skills(many can't speak English), but this is common throughout London. We have been in London many times and will definitely stay here again.

The Rembrandt hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Victoria & Albert museum, within close proximity of shops, pubs, restaurants and South Kensington tube station. There are also bus stops outside if you want to take a scenic tour of the Capital. The staff were friendly and upgraded me to an Executive room. The room was an adequate size, and the bathroom was excellent - featuring a whirlpool bath and shower. It also had air conditioning. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and worth the extra money. The only minor quibble was that the rather slow, antiquated lifts were out of order on at least two occasions I was there (and I only stayed one night). At one stage, we almost got trapped in one. We had to use the very small luggage lift. But these things happen, and it didn't spoil our stay. There are probably slightly cheaper hotels around, but if you want everything on your doorstep in this part of London, it is an option you should definitely consider.

Pretty dull dinner carvery restaurant. Food didn't taste of anything. Shame as the rest of the hotel and its location is really good.

Iron & pants press were not working. Selection of TV channels was very poor. On the plus side, the hotel did give an upgrade at check-in to a better room, which featured a jacuzzi bath.

We really enjoyed our short stay and we will certainly use this hotel again.Room service was excellent and housekeeping staff patient with our need to use the room during the day. Breakfast was substantial with lots of willing staff. Our only complaint was that the receptionist forgot to book our early morning taxi which could have cauded us problems but night staff were helpful.

We have stayed at the Rembrandt at least five times. Every time is an excellent experience, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is superb, the dining is fine and the lounge for an evening aperitif has no equal for coziness by the fireplace, or a light meal after the theatre. Enjoy!! We do.
