Relais Saint Michel Hotel Guest Reviews (8)
I've stayed in this hotel several times over the last three years, but each year it looks more faded. The outside is in dire need of painting or cleaning, and while the public areas are still lovely, the rooms (or at least ours on the first floor) seemed very worn out and dated. I would not five this hotel a four star rating. The location is great because you can see Mt. St. Michel, but from our room the overgrowth of some bushes obstructed the full view.

The staff was most helpful.

Hotel room is very clean and of generous size. Every room has either a walkout patio or private balcony to admire Mt. St. Michel from distance. Hotel car park was free and the public car park on the causeway was only 4 Euros per day. There is a supermarket about 200 meters away. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the breakfast. We got to the breakfast room around 8:30 and only hot item left was baked tomato. We were told a tour group just wiped out all scrambled egg and sausages and there would be no more replenishment. They also ran out of ceral bowls and we had to use tulip-shaped wine glasses to eat cereal.

We came to this hotel having stayed a few days at [other hotel] in Dinard. This hotel cost more per night than the Grand, and unfortunately there was no comparison. No wheelchair as requested on booking, nobody to make my elderly parents a cup of tea mid-afternoon, although the manager did in the end after considerable persuasion, one person manning breakfast singlehanded so that when things ran out on the buffet, there was little chance of replenishment. There just didnt seem ton be enough staff yo warrant a four star rating. Position was great though, and the rooms were clean and huge. Shame hairdryer was stuck together with sellotape and that my disabled dad could not get out of the bath!
