Lovely place. Unfortunately without aircon, have to leave window open in the night when the Bahnhofstrasse becomes a favorite racing ground for heavy motorbikes - the noise was bad even in our room not facing the street.

We stayed in the older part of the hotel. Though the furnishings were old-fashioned, the bath room fixture is modern and clean. The eleveator is meant to be used by at most two persons with luggage. However, the overall impression for us was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The desk manager even took us to the room personally. The hostess greeted every guest and the son-in-law was there to supervise the staff so that nothing was left to chance. <BR><BR> The hotel restaurant offered some of the best dishes we had ever had in Germany. I recommend "dumpling of perch" as the best entree. Lastly, the hotel is within walking distance from the train station and it provides a pass to the guests for use on all city buses free. The only regret is that it does not provide internet access.
