Location
Located in the heart of Oban, on the esplanade, the Regent Hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the bus station and about 2 kilometres from the nearest train station. It is also close to many shops and the pier.
Rooms
The hotel offers 83 comfortable guestrooms that are traditional in decor and equipped with a host of convenient amenities to ensure you a relaxing stay.
Restaurant
The onsite restaurant offers you the chance to indulge in the superb multi-choice four course table d'Hote Menu. There are also an extensive choice of a la carte dishes to choose from, along with an extensive wine list to compliment your meal. Regent Hotel Oban Guest Reviews
The sea view from the from the front of the hotel is what makes the stay worthwhile but if like me you had a landward room then you need to be looking for other special things and they were in short supply. Staff were friendly and couldn't be faulted. Hotel looks to have been built in the 1920's sheets were clean and bathroom seems to have been recently upgraded and the water was hot. However the bathroom window didn't close, the carpets were on the thin side and there was no buffet style hot breakfast. If you asked for a specific item from the hot breakfast menu it was served with no issues. No hotel parking but a reasonable pay and display opposite. If all you want is a couple of over night stops then it's ok but I would be pushed to go overboard for anything longer
