Red Roof Inn Washington Dc Alexandria Guest Reviews
Hotel room smelled . Dirty towel on rtack. Bottom dresser drawer missing. Stained boxspring. It was a horrible night and would never stay in another Red Roof Inn/

Unfortunately, the room smelled like the football locker room full of dirty socks. Shared concerns at desk and was given an empty bottle of room deoderizing spray. Ended up having to purchase my own bottle of a product to get rid of the disgusting smell. Bathroom had something sprayed on door and wall, not to mention the dust on floor molding, and the shower curtain was so short is was a struggle to keep it in the shower.

Needed a room close to Courthouse Square, Alexandria, VA -- This motel met that need Expected a clean, safe room -- This motel did not meet those expectations. 1. The room was so highly scented (air freshener type) that we had to leave the door propped open for 1 1/2 hour to air out the strong smell. 2. The 'complimentary coffee pot' in the room had so much built-up mold in the coffee-basket it was unusable. 3. The screws that are supposed to secure the door's safety latch were only screwed in halfway. It looked as if there had been an attempt to force the door open.

I attended a State Department event in Washingtion, DC. The RedRoof Inn is a relatively inexpensive place to stay in the Washington, D.C. area. It is located about 3 long blocks from the end of the Yellow Metro Line at Huntington Ave., a 20 minute walk from the Red Roof Inn to the Huntington Metro. The room was clean and had the basics. The bed was comfortable. A "no frills" room. It was adequate for my needs.

We took a 2-day trip to DC and had chosen the Red Roof Inn Alexandria because of the location (1 mile from a Metro station) and a decant for this area price. We are not fancy people and can be easily satisfied if roof is not leaking. However, rooms need some freshening (there is some kind of scent in them). Hotel lacks a complimentary breakfast but there are plenty different restaurants around. The location itself is rather pleasant and civilized. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall we would rate our stay as positive and would consider this hotel again when planning our next trip to DC.
