Red Roof Inn Chicago Downers Grove Guest Reviews
For my trip, this place was great. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The only drawback was when I first arrived the heat was turned on in the room and it was about 80 degrees. I had to turn the A/C on and leave for a little while while it cooled down. There are very few "frills", but it was a nice place to stay. Plenty of local shopping, close access to major freeways and tollways, and nice local resturants.

We're two parents and two boys, 7 and 10. We arrived at 11pm and left at 9am. It was inexpensive, easy to find (a couple blocks from I88) and 30-45 minutes from O'Hare airport. It had two beds, a bath, ice, and a TV for cartoons in the morning. That's what we were looking for, and for this, it was just fine. Don't expect anything more.

Was not very happy with our stay. We got what we paid for! The bathroom stunk like urine enbedded into the vinyl flooring. I even covered the area with towels and still stunk. No breakfast, no pool, no fitness center. There was coffee down stairs in the lobby but it was old and stale. There was also no ironing board or iron to use. No coffee maker or microwave either. It's rare that you don't see any of those items these days. The mattress was cheap and flimsy also! Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend to friends. If I was traveling and just wanted to sleep before getting on the road, and that was all I found open, then I might reconsider. But otherwise, stay away from this place.
