Upon arrival we noticed that the TV remote was missing. Went to front desk and was given one. When we returned to the room we eventually found the remote under one of the beds near the edge along with a chewing gum package and chewed gum. In the bathroom there was a wash cloth on top of the shower curtain and after our four day stay it was still there. Cleaning staff needs to be trained on how to clean a room properly. Beds were extremely soft and old. Given this I thought the room was a little over priced.

Hotel rooms were hard to find near the Aberdeen Proving Grounds so I took a chance at the Red Roof Inn. The cost was well under my per diem allowance and the location was superior to the other alternatives at the same price, especially considering the "character" of some portions of Aberdeen. As for the hotel, the hotel has exterior only room entrances but I expected that for the price. The staff was very friendly and the room was surprisingly well appointed but beginning to show some wear. My room featured a king-sized bed, small refrigerator, microwave and a built-in desk. Wi-Fi was free and the bandwidth was adequate to do some work and HBO was available on the older, CRT TV. The bed pillows were a bit firm for me and my neck was a little stiff the next day but overall the room was fine.
