Rays Resort Southport Guest Reviews
Central to Australia fair & Southport shops, Broadwater, Surfers Paridise. Gold Coast Highway right in front of Resort, traffic noise can be a nuisance.

Good facilities and very close to centre of the gold coast. But rooms were average - eg, worn carpets and couches, old TV, we had to wash our own dishes and empty the rubbish ourselves but if you don't expect a lot, then it is a very satisfactory place. There is washing machine and kitchenette which is handy for more than a couple of nights.

Good clean hotel, nice pool, nice and close to Good Vibes which we wanted.

For the price we paid, i.e. $109 per night, this Resort was quite reasonable. The one bedroom apartment was quite well equipped, but fairly small and compact and we had to re-position the couch in order to watch the t.v. The separate bedroom was only divided by a shutter door, which necessitated being left open at all times as there was only one airconditioner in the lounge, which had to cater for the whole apartment. A ceiling fan would have been good in the bedroom, as it was very hot when we stayed there, i.e 35 degree days. As there were no chairs on the balcony, we had to utilise the kitchen chairs from inside. The lady on Reception was very nice, pleasant and helpful. All in all, for the price it was ok.
