We spent 3 nights in Raymond hotel and the overall rating is that is a recommended hotel. Very close to Hagia Sophia, Top Kapi, Blue Moscque and the Bazaars (Grand and Egyptian) ...a long walking distance to Taksim though.... Very clean rooms, towels and bed sheets were changed every day. The room we stayed was tiny but comfortable and functional. The staff was helpful and kind enough. The breakfast was OK....certainly not poor but nothing special... We would stay in Raymond hotel again!!

This hotel was a last-minute choice, which I made partially because of the location of the hotel. I was not displeased. The hotel was located about 5 to 10 minutes' walk away from most of the tourist sites (Blue Mosque, Underground Cistern, etc.). I had a room on the third floor with a balcony. While the balcony door didn't seem to open all the way (either a feature or something was wrong with it), I had it open as much as I could and listened to the sounds of the city street below. It was really peaceful to hear/sleep to. The staff was great. I was able to get a shuttle from the hotel to Araturk Airport (IST) for 5 Euros, which is pretty inexpensive. They also were nice about making sure I was set in my room. The wifi in the room was difficult to connect to, but it seemed to work OK.
