hotel building is of cheap material and pretty old, dirty marks all over the room wall, air conditioner dripping water, electricity wiring hang lose in cabinet, rusting in the toilet sink, staff is not helpful at all, hotel rate is more expensive than the other same rating hotel, with this facility and service, it does not worth 4 star rating, or even 3 star rating, avoid this hotel if you can.

Taxi drivers do not know when it is, no tourist information provided. Most hotel staff do not care to respond in English / Mandarin. Laundry is ridiculously expensive, I can buy new items in Shanghai than paying for the laundry, eg 8 RMB for a pair socks laundered and 2-3 RMB for a new one. It is quite clean, yet bathroom is slippery and window frame was broken. Bell service, call a cab service are slow. Tea provided was topped by a layer of oil, insecticide according to locals. That was the worst tea I have ever tasted.

This hotel is without doubt the best value hotel in Shanghai. Its rooms are 5 star and the facilities are firt class. Would still be cheap at twice the price!
