Location

The facility and room were beautiful. Very quiet and relaxing environment. Xmas decorations were fantastic! We encountered 2 different Conceirge and both were rude. They offered little help and or advice. They are not good representatives for your hotel. All other staff were outstanding.

Cannot recommend this place to stay -- I flew across the country for a family vaction at Rancho Las Palma. On our second night, my children's room was broken into while my family was at dinner, at the resort's restaurant. My children return to their room after dinner to find the patio door to their room broken open - lock snapped off. Basically everything of value (computers, jewelry, iPods, headphones....) was stolen from their hotel room. Amazingly, the Hotel took NO responsibility for this incident. And Hotel management on the night of the theft could not have been less helpful. I cannot recommend a Hotel/Resort like this that did not protect its guests nor take any responsibility for actions on their property. I stay at 4 and 5 Star Resorts all over the world, because I expect a high level of service, security and safety for my family. When things happen on resort property, I would expect a high level of professionalism befitting a top resort and expect them to stand behind their service. I was amazed how lackadaisical the Resort management was on the night of the incident and since. I have never even received so much as a letter from the hotel. Their insurance company says nothing is covered by the resort's policy. This incident has traumatized my children - I'm sure they will never forget coming back to their room, seeing that it had been broken into and seeing basically everything they had brought on vacation, stolen. I can only imagine what could have happen, if they had come back early from dinner and caught the robbery in action. It's too bad, this resort has a lovely setting - but I could never recommend this Resort or the KSL Chain of Resorts to any of my friends if this is the way they handle incidents like this. Take your hard earned dollars elsewhere, where they care about their guests.

Not too bad. Pretty basic hotel. Not much of a resort, but they still collect the resort fee. Rooms were clean and spaciouse, and the bed was comfortable. Nice bathrooms. Spacious Shower.

Fantastic experience! It was our first time there. The staff was a 7 on a scale of 1-5. The food was excellent. Loved the outdoor patio and live music. The room was immaculate. The golfing was excellent. My wife loved the spa. Everywhere we went the staff was outstanding. A definite "highly recommend" from us.

They need to have more order in the resort. When a resort is 4-5 rated you expect a superb rating, i doubt that this hotel has it. I did love the lazy river
