Ramada Plaza Hotel Downtown Hollywood Guest Reviews
To be straight forward... The location of the hotel is what helps. The Hotel itself may have been a premiere hotel in it's day. 2000 Now! It is like an old Vegas casino. The Wine Bar across from the hotel was delightful, and the vendors at the park were great! The room and appearance offered nothing above average. As long as you are not looking to impress and romance, you will be fine with the money saved in price.

The photos online of the rooms are a complete misrepresentation of the actual condition of the rooms!!! They are the complete OPPOSITE!! The room was a smoking room although I clearly asked for/ordered A NON-SMOKING room. The room was musty, the bathroom was dirty, the coffee maker looks like it was never cleaned from day one, the iron didn't work!! Parking was this crammed, restricted place underground and the elevator, wow!!!, you couldn't get 2 grown adults with the smallest of suitcases to fit. I also noticed that one of the elevator's Certificate of Fitness has expired from August of 2011!! This hotel should never be available to the public...PERIOD!!

Everyone was so nice and helpful. The service was great, it was very clean. The breakfast was very yummy and the heated outdoor pool was awesome. It was walking distance to tons of shops and restaraunts and bars. Didn't want to leave. We will definately be back to this hotel in the near future.

I'm sad to have to say that the experience wan't good. I would have liked the Orbitz rep. to have explained that it was only a 2 star hotel and was located downtown, this wasn't done. Of the two beds in the room, one sagged in the middle and still had stains from previous guest. The A/C had rubbish stuffed in the vents which should have been cleaned out. The hotel should be pensioned off. Having said all that, I still would use Orbitz, as all our other arrangements worked perfectly!
