Ramada Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel
2 out of 5

We booked two rooms for two nights. After four hours of driving, after a day of work, we arrived at Ramada Paris Tour Eiffel past 10pm, tired and worn out. To our dismay, we were informed at the reception counter that 'due to system's issue', there were no rooms for us! And they arranged for us to stay at another hotel, parked inside some lanes. This being our first time in Paris, we were absolutely clueless with where is what, and hence lugged our luggages for good 15 min searching for this alternative hotel. It was a teeny room that we had, with bare amenities - no fridge (which was not that critical) and no kettle (hence we had no drinking water since we are unable to boil water). The room had no view - looked into opposite building that is one lane away. And we had chosen Ramada Paris Tour Eiffel because we chose 'window view to Eiffel Tower'. And from the published rack rates of both hotels, the alternaitve hotel arranged by Ramada was half the price of Ramada. We were effectively downgraded by Ramada, and were in a position of no choice but to accept as it was late and we were really tired. Henceforth, we also had interrupted rest since we had to unpack and pack for one-night rest in this alternative hotel; then packed and unpacked the next day to check in into Ramada the next day. Precious time which could be better spent sightseeing Paris was lost too, in the packing and lugging of luggages from one hotel to the other. Let me make an objective assessment of Ramada. After the one-night stay at the alternative (of a lower price category) hotel, Ramada's room naturally seemed better. There were adequate amenities. However, the 'window view of Eiffel Tower' offered us only one-tenth view of the tower (upwards of tower) since we were placed on second floor. I cannot deny that location was ideal - along the main road of Granelle. Hence it was convenient too, as there were two (or three) train stations nearby for you to decide which station provides better (more direct line) for you to reach your destination. And on a Sunday morning, there was a Sunday market just right outside the hotel. We've made an official feedback to this site and Ramada's management. The management said the General Manager of the hotel will get back to me by 5 June. And I've informed this site the name of the alternative hotel since it is also listed on this site, as I do not agree to pay Ramada's rate for the one-night stay at the alternative hotel. Also pending reversion. I will update (if there is such an option) here on the recourse action, if any, taken by both organisations.

This hotel is ideally situated about 5 minutes walk to Eiffel Tour and more. My first visit to Paris, it was easy to get to via subway/metro from the airport. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak very good english. A great all-round place to stay and very comfortable.

Great location, walk to Eiffel Tower, great shops and transport and food nearby, but expensive for what it is, even in Paris.

The friendly, helpful staff; the view of the Eiffel Tower and hotel location cannot compensate for the compact size of the room; the pricing; the sounds heard through the adjoining walls, and the noises from the road and the railway opposite the hotel.

Rooms, perhaps, could do with a little refreshing on decor, although they were very clean. Location is excellent for the `Metro`, Eiffel Tower, and Seine boat cruises. Staff very pleasant. No noise apparent, which in a big city hotel is very good. Supermarket close to hotel for those `conveniences`. Good selection of restaurants and shops locally. Bear in mind Paris is expensive !

The first impression of the hotel was not that appealing but the front office staff was very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed had Eiffel tower views but the facilities were below average. The shower/bath drain was blocked and the air conditioner did not work either. I had to open the window to get some sleep but the noice was too much early mornings. The location of the hotel was very good and easy access to any where in Paris. I would give 3 out of 5.

Hotel was very clean and had very friendly and helpful staff who all spoke very good english. The location was good, about a 10 min (max) walk to eiffel tower. Our room was quite small for the price though and wireless internet was expensive, but a nice, clean hotel with helpful staff.

After an early morning flight we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to reach our hotel from the bus station only a short metro ride. Hotel was very centrally located only 10 minutes walk from the eiffel tower from which you could easily reach any tourist attraction by bus, metro or boat (we used all three). The hotel itself was excellent value for money the modern rooms were spotless and well equipped with everything you needed, and we could not praise the reception staff enough! So helpful and friendly making you feel very welcome in such a relaxed atmosphere. We would definately stay at the ramada again and would highly recommend it.

As this was a last minute decision (due to our travel agents mistake) we were not expecting anything special, but this turned out to be a real gem. Yes we did get a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower from our window and you could actually walk there in ten minutes. The staff were so nice and very helpfull and spoke english even if we tried a little French. The Metro is literally down the street and so are numerous shops resturants and two supermarkets. The staff also told us there is market on wednesday and Sundays it was full of fresh produce , clothing, shoes, craft, all very cheap. THis made our seven nights full of great memories and some real bargains!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and it was good value for money. However, a couple of small things to look into: 1. The Safe in Room was mentioned as a facility available in all rooms(ref: info in [your website]); however, it was not stated that guests would have to pay for it!! Please have a large heart and make it available for free to all guests. 2. There should have been a telephone set extension in the bathroom for the convenience of the guests.

The hotel is located in a good area on the busy Boulevard de Grenelle. 3 metro lines on the doorstep with a busy Sunday market just outside the door. The rooms are clean and a good size and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms to the front are noisier than the rooms to the back of the hotel though. All hotels in Paris are quite expensive but this one offers relative value for money. I always book here when staying in Paris.
