Ramada Marcoola Beach Guest Reviews (87)
The Ramada is but a 2 mins walk to the beach and boasts some fantastic view of the shoreline. (The ocean view rooms anyways). Marcoola Beach is normally quiter and a tad more secluded than the more popular Coolum, Noosa and Moloolaba beaches, which kinda makes it feel like a private beach at times. The hotel section of the resort could do with some interior improvements as it is starting to show it's age, however, the beds are comfy and the rooms are clean and cozy. As a light sleeper, I do tend to get woken up early in the morning by slamming doors and fellow guests and hotel staff moving around outside due to the lack of noise insulation around the doors, but that could be a personal issue. There is also a great and affordable Chinese Restaurant just across the road which makes for awesome dinners, plus the resort bar and restaurant serves good tapas and drinks. In terms of quality and comfort, this resort probably does not compare to the likes of the Hilton or the Marriott, but more than makes up in terms of affordability and distance to beach.

Air condition leaked water continously down the wall, over the tv and carpet like Niagra Falls, the noise was unbearable, staff explained no repairman or romm available (we excepted that considering holiday time), but they simply gave us towels to mop up and no follow up, we had to keep on requesting more towels, didnt want to be seen as a whinger so gave up, ask for a free breakfast, got that at least, place is tired, staff look stressed

Best part about my stay was lying by the nice pool. Room was average.

When we checked in, we asked for a room facing the ocean but the young lady said it would be $45 more-so she put us in a room facing the hinterland -the room was great but there was the back of a big shed right next to the balcony blocking our view-I thought not again, internet booking means lousy room-after we complained they did put us in a room higher up which was great-we wondered what an ocean view room would look like and were prepared to pay the extra but it was a much smaller room with a dodgy lock and smelled so we opted for the hinterland view-it was a great panoramic window which faced onto the airport, subway and seven eleven-oh and when we questioned the staff the next morning as to why they couldn't have offered us a better sea view room when there were a lot of unoccupied ones we could see from the pool, they said that those rooms hadn't been cleaned-well we thought they were being dishonest.
