The room was nothing like the pictures. The room had no refrigerator or microwave or closet to put our clothes in...however, the location is great. I would not stay there again.

The Ramada is in a great location in the Gaslamp District. Walking distance to great bars and restaurants. I've stayed here a few times and it is a very good value. The only thing is that the rooms are a little cramped. The elevators are different. They are original to the building. Kinda cool if you are in to those things. The elevators are slow on very busy weekends. So of you can, get a room on the second floor so you can take the stairs.

The room was ridiculously tiny! We were just happy to find a hotel on New Year's Eve.

The age of this hotel shows, but it is more than compensated by the friendliness of the staff. I would book this hotel again, except for saturday night. It is located closed to those bars, and the noise level on saturday night was certainly more than average.

Overpriced for a hotel that needs serious renovation.

In the heart of the Gaslamp District - we walked everywhere - except to/from the airport, but they provide a free shuttle! We loved the quaint feel of the hotel and the antique elevator. Make sure to go to the rooftop for a great view and to get a little sun!

I was thrilled to be upgraded to a suite! The room was incredible. Unfortunately, I left what was clearly a birthday gift when I checked out, and when I called later to see if they could mail it to me, no one would help me. So checking in - staff was great. After I was gone...well, apparently someone in housekeeping used my $50 gift card as their tip. Shame on them.

The room was very small. It was tight and squeezy for two people. It was kind of ackward for the sink to be so far from the bathroom. Compared to other hotel rooms this was the smallest one I have been in. The room would be perfect for one person not for two people.

Great location for downtown. Best thing was the 2seperate rooms when we reserved a room with 2 beds. Worst thing was the light are on sensors Ne the light over the sink kept coming on in the middle of the night, had tohave them remove the blubs in the middle of the night twice, 3rd night I just had them remove the blubs before we went to sleep so I didn't get waken up in the middle of the night! Shower is very small and runs hot then cold. The restaurant next door is outstanding! Enough food to share and very good!

Great hotel. Very old fashion grand deluxe type decor/entrance that the hotel had from the 1900's. Everything is modern with the feel of being old luxury. One complaint is that the shower water would be hot, then cooler, then hot again. Rooms are very nice. Stayed in a Queen single room, compact yet perfect sized. Great 24/7 cafe in lobby! Free WiFi was great

Overpriced, tiny room, unfriendly staff. They would not disclose the parking fee untill the last moment. They would hold your car (rental, in my case) hostage @checkout until you sign the agreement for $20/day parking fee. With larger rooms, friendlier staff, and free parking this hotel might be Ok. Right now it is just plain overpriced based on room size/lack of service.

We were there to apartment hunt for daughter moving to SD for law school, not knowing area. Staff was all very friendly and the location was nice, but most likely will not stay here again due to the tiny room with no bathtub or view, other than walls mere feet away. The desk w/coffee amenities was very cramped and there was only one bedside table. I expected more from a Ramada at this price.
