Overall, we (my husband and myself plus two sons, aged 11 and 14) enjoyed our stay here very much. We requested and were given interconnecting rooms...both great. The hotel was lovely and the staff, were very helpful. We picked the location as it is close to major attractions and we like to walk. We discovered, (and were told by hotel staff) that walking isn't advisable, as street living people ask for money and also don't have available bathrooms. My husband and I have experienced this before but our children felt quite upset to see such poverty,not a bad experience for them,but not one we wanted to repeat every day. However, the hotel staff were very helpful with transport. Other good things.....the hotel has 3 restaurants and a great pool. It was very hot during our stay so it was a great place to retreat to between exploring. One last thing....the Spa is great! This isn't a cheap hotel.....but our family are agreed that we would stay there again.
