We have stayed here twice & highly recommend this hotel. It's at the top end price-wise & is rated 5-star, but like most hotels in this category, you get what you pay for. We cannot fault it & will visit again.

A wonderfully restored hotel meeting the high standards of the Raffles group. The staff were very friendly and attentive at all times. The welcome cold towels on arrival each time we returned to the hotel were very much appreciated. A week after leaving the hotel I noticed I had mislaid an expensive pen and on checking with the Grand they confirmed they had it and have since arranged to send to my European address. Great service and a hotel we will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

We arrived for our 4 nights suffering from severe stomach problems and apart from our daughter we were unable to enjoy any one meal during our visit, which was unfortunate as it all looked superb. However we cannot speak too highly of the management and staff who throughout our time in Siem Reap looked after us extremely well- to the extent of providing a car and escort to the International Hospital and making all the arrangements - well done Raffles at Siem Reap!

Best hotel experience I've had. Lots of little touches made the stay memorable, like soothing live music in the lobby and pineapple chunks by the pool. Also, lovely swimming pool!

My husband and I had a most enjoyable stay in this hotel. It was what we would have expected of the a good 5-star. Staff provided excellent and friendly service. Keep up the good work! Suggestion: The landscaping in the gardens, (within the Hotel grounds), especially the empty lawn next to the tennis courts can be improved upon. Enjoyed the little spice garden plot at the back. More can be done though.

This is the Grand Dame of all the hotels in Siem Reap. It''s my second visit to Siem Reap, and I really enjoyed my stay this time. It''s such a great relief to relax in the huge swimming pool, or sip cool drinks inside the air-conditioned restaurant, after a hot and exhausting day trip. The staff are here to please, their manners are top notch, and their uniforms are spanking clean. The hotel gounds are impeccable and does not show its age, seems like someone high above kept a good eye on this establishment. Well, it''s makes me feel like I''m in good company once I step foot in this hotel.

Due to the christmas season, some of the restaurants are quite full and could not enjoy the dinner.

Definitely an expensive hotel for Siem Reap, but it was well worth it for us. Love the multiple clean up services they provide daily. The restaurant food was okay. Very friendly and professional staff.

The hotel is fabulous and very close to Angkor Wat. We had wonderful massages for very little cost, and all the staff at the hotel were helpful, kind and courteous.

I agree with your other guests'' comments. This is an expensive hotel for what you get. But the service is excellent, and that is one of the things Raffles hotels is known for. The room was much smaller than I would have expected for the price, the carpet looked worn and threadbare, and again, the air-conditioning was not really fully adjustable as the thermostat would lead you to believe. Some of these other countries'' hotels could learn from hotels in Singapore where you can turn a thermostat down to 16c and really get 16c (Brrrr!); Royal Plaza and Grand Hyatt are 2 that I know of.

The food in the main restaurant was wonderful, but if you didn''t want the set menu, it would be very expensive. The buffet breakfast every morning was somewhat disappointing, because it didn''t vary at all and what was there wasn''t very extensive or interesting.

Great hotel, part of Angkor history. Worth staying at leat once in the life if one can afford. Overpriced as most top level hotels in Siem Reap.

Staying at Raffles has been a great experience. Everything aims at guest pleasure: friendly staff attitude, very nice garden and swimming pool, very good restaurant. This is the perfect place to enhance the pleasure visiting of Angkor temples.

Overall we had a great stay at the Grand, however I think we were expecting something even grander (due to all the hype and cost). The service is excellent and the food is pretty good, however we had a look at the Sofitel and it would have been great if the Grand had Sofitel''s impressive pool and beautiful gardens. Nevertheless the gym was adequate and the pool was great for laps. The rooms were a little small but adequate.

The Raffles Grand Hotel is a throw back to colonial grandeur. From checking in until leaving the staff cannot do enough for you. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner included in the package) and the spa is luxurious and relaxing. It is the hotel to stay at in Siem Riep.

I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to a friend. The service in the bar and the restaurants was excellent. It is definitely on the expensive side but always felt worth it, especially after a hot day exploring temples. A real oasis.

The hotel staff was amazing. I had a little trouble with my visa for re-entry to Vietnam, and the concierge made one phone call, and was able to send my passport to the right place for a visa renewal. That made all the difference, since my time in Siem Reap wasn''t for too long. The grounds are immaculate, the pool was delightful, and the rooms were great. The restaurants and bar were expensive, but I suppose they go hand in hand with the grandeur of the hotel itself. If I''m ever in Cambodia again, I''ll definitely book at the Grand.

It would be useful to understand better the distinction between different types of rooms. Not obvious what made "Landmark" room superior.

Staying at this hotel is a wonderful experience. The facilities (particularly the swimming pool) are first rate, the rooms are lovely, and the food (both breakfast and dinner) is first class. Staying here made our Angkor experience truly memorable. That being said, the room rate is egregiously expensive especially given the low prices in Cambodia. I would be very interested to know if the 10% service charge per night (equal to our waiter''s monthly wages) actually went to the staff.

The Grand Hotel d'Angkor gives the experience of visiting Ang Kor Wat an additional dimension... if you can afford it. It is not cheap and yet your stay is almost flawless. The hotel takes care of everything from fabulous food to taxi and guide services, to massages at the end of your long day of sightseeing. The pool is gorgeous and the rooms are beautiful. Obviously, staying at this hotel makes a trip to Cambodia quite expensive and drives deeper the disparity between the haves and the have nots.
