Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel Guest Reviews
This is not your standard airport hotel. Walking in the door I had the distinct impression that I was in Las Vegas. You know, the good part of Vegas - the classy interiors, the style, the real sense of quality, not the part that feels like it comes with an IV to your wallet and induces a strong compelling desire to take a shower afterwards. The lobby is active and visually interesting with much of the decor of the hotel done in dark English countryside woods. The staff behind the desk are professional and attentive. I found my room small but clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine and I got a nice night's rest. My only complaint was with the restaurant selection. Cripes folks, I've been in the UK for a week and all you have to offer is more traditional English foods? Honestly, I just could not bring myself to sit down for a $50 meal of kidney pie or lamb shank whatever. Where are the curries? The Thai noodles? Anything other than traditional English fare? In the end, I hopped a $20 cab to a Holiday Inn for a great pre-flight meal.

Thought all was wonderful upon entering the lobby-lovely marble, granite, grand staircase, etc. Staff greeted with what we later determined were 'cheshire cat' smiles. Hallways are dark, cramped and OLD! Room was OK and bathroom finished in nice marble and wood, but worn out. Shower leaked onto floor, dark gunk in corners of shower and floor, exhaust vent plugged with black lint, etc. DON'T MOVE any items in the fridge or they end up on your bill! Later stopped at one of the various 'bars' in the hotel. OMG! Silver felted wallpaper, clubbing music and a hovering waiter. Upon ordering each ordering a drink, it was delivered and staff never appeared again until we got up to leave. No wonder we were the only people in there. Went down the road to the Sheraton sports bar and had a wonderful time with really nice and cool staff. After a restless night, we went to check out. They removed charge for minibar without a problem. I had prepaid thru Orbitz for a flash sale, so my bill was only for the 2 drinks in the bar. The desk clerk made a comment about how low it was. Asked the concierge to call us a cab to airport and he assured it would only be 5 minutes. After a good 15 minutes passed, a cab arrived and dropped off someone. We grabbed it-even though he was not dispatched to pick us up. Less than 5 minutes to Heathrow. Did he even call? Obviously this hotels caters to a 'different clientele' based upon the businessmen we saw staying there. Overwhelming feeling of 'stuffiness' in the air. Next time we'll stay at the Sheraton!

Have stayed at this hotel before and really like the proximity to Heathrow, luxury feel of room and friendly staff. Disappointed that my rate through Orbitz was considerably more than the price stated for a twin/double by the hotel on October 2. The desk clerk upgraded us to a more deluxe room when I noted the discrepancy.

The staff was quite helpful as this was our first trip to London, especially in matters of getting around the city.

I was there for a buisness conference and stayed one night. Room was clean, warm and comfortable though we did not get room access till 5 pm. Meals were good and well served. Coffee/tea breaks could have done with more stations but a good range of snacks and drinks was available.Concierge Smiffy gave good advice on travel back to Euston. An enjoyable experience all in al
