Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel

Very ordinary room overlooking car park, strange intermittent hum from somewhere was annoying. They used to have a delightful Brasserie this has been closed except for special functions, they have opened the Oceania Restaurant which has the most peculiar seating squashy seats which seem to be at a strange height vis a vis the table are difficult to access if seated at table for 4 & the decor is a cross between a chinese restaurant & a sports pub as loud music was playing the evening we there + the room is littered with huge televisions tuned to a sports channel, ideal if you are a football fan. Not sure which market they are going for but think it is downmarket from previous years. The food (we had rib eye steaks which were so badly cooked we called the manager over) is now served on gimmicky small slates & the so called french fries are served in minature ice buckets. Our mostly consisted of bits of overcooked potato bits the sort you get at the bottom of a bag of frozen chips. This was very disappointing & therefore we shall not stay here again. The grand entrance belies the ordinariness.

A very convenient and comfortable hotel for people wanting to fly from Heathrow. The 4 pound shuttle bus took less than half an hour to reach terminal 4. The room, while not luxurious was very comfortable and the staff helpful.

The hotel hosts parties and weddings so it can get a little busy around the lobby, but that doesn't make it noisy outside of reception. The room was very chic modern looking, clean, nice and inviting after a long flight with another connection the next day. The Bijou Bistro Lounge Bar had a super chilled out vibe and nice drinks & food. Although the breakfast is too pricey (£17.95 at the time of writing), you can always grab something in Heathrow. A taxi from Terminal 3 was only £9. The "Hotel Hoppa" bus to terminal 5 was £4. Oh, and FREE WIFI throughout the hotel. Pretty much a miracle in Europe!

Stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable and clean room. Reception staff really helpful. Not too far from underground and airport. Will stay there again.

Free wi-fi in bedroom and hotel - late opening of bar - good location for airport with Hoppa bus. Very good choice for anyone not needing to go to London.

I did my due diligence before deciding on which airport to stay at near Heathrow and am quite pleased that I chose the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel. Not only was it minutes from the airport by the shuttle bus, the staff was welcoming and I found my room extremely comfortable. It's a shame I only had to stay one night because I would have loved to stay longer. If I find myself stuck in London on another long layover, I will definitely be staying at the Radission Edwardian again. Such a great experience that just so happened to be convenient.

This is not your standard airport hotel. Walking in the door I had the distinct impression that I was in Las Vegas. You know, the good part of Vegas - the classy interiors, the style, the real sense of quality, not the part that feels like it comes with an IV to your wallet and induces a strong compelling desire to take a shower afterwards. The lobby is active and visually interesting with much of the decor of the hotel done in dark English countryside woods. The staff behind the desk are professional and attentive. I found my room small but clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine and I got a nice night's rest. My only complaint was with the restaurant selection. Cripes folks, I've been in the UK for a week and all you have to offer is more traditional English foods? Honestly, I just could not bring myself to sit down for a $50 meal of kidney pie or lamb shank whatever. Where are the curries? The Thai noodles? Anything other than traditional English fare? In the end, I hopped a $20 cab to a Holiday Inn for a great pre-flight meal.

Thought all was wonderful upon entering the lobby-lovely marble, granite, grand staircase, etc. Staff greeted with what we later determined were 'cheshire cat' smiles. Hallways are dark, cramped and OLD! Room was OK and bathroom finished in nice marble and wood, but worn out. Shower leaked onto floor, dark gunk in corners of shower and floor, exhaust vent plugged with black lint, etc. DON'T MOVE any items in the fridge or they end up on your bill! Later stopped at one of the various 'bars' in the hotel. OMG! Silver felted wallpaper, clubbing music and a hovering waiter. Upon ordering each ordering a drink, it was delivered and staff never appeared again until we got up to leave. No wonder we were the only people in there. Went down the road to the Sheraton sports bar and had a wonderful time with really nice and cool staff. After a restless night, we went to check out. They removed charge for minibar without a problem. I had prepaid thru Orbitz for a flash sale, so my bill was only for the 2 drinks in the bar. The desk clerk made a comment about how low it was. Asked the concierge to call us a cab to airport and he assured it would only be 5 minutes. After a good 15 minutes passed, a cab arrived and dropped off someone. We grabbed it-even though he was not dispatched to pick us up. Less than 5 minutes to Heathrow. Did he even call? Obviously this hotels caters to a 'different clientele' based upon the businessmen we saw staying there. Overwhelming feeling of 'stuffiness' in the air. Next time we'll stay at the Sheraton!

Have stayed at this hotel before and really like the proximity to Heathrow, luxury feel of room and friendly staff. Disappointed that my rate through Orbitz was considerably more than the price stated for a twin/double by the hotel on October 2. The desk clerk upgraded us to a more deluxe room when I noted the discrepancy.

I was there for a buisness conference and stayed one night. Room was clean, warm and comfortable though we did not get room access till 5 pm. Meals were good and well served. Coffee/tea breaks could have done with more stations but a good range of snacks and drinks was available.Concierge Smiffy gave good advice on travel back to Euston. An enjoyable experience all in al

Make sure you ask for a room not behind the lift! While there may be sound proofing for the planes, there certainly isnt in the rooms behind the lifts. It sounds like a motorbike is starting up

This hotel seems to be under constant renovation. It has a shuttle to the airport, but the charge is $11.00 each and it takes 45 minutes. So we got a taxi (advised by the concierge) which was $15.00 and took about 10 minutes. The hallways are dark and dingy, smell of cheap cleaning fluid. The bathroom was not user friendly for seniors, with a very high step over to get into the bath/shower. No rail to hang on to. The bath mat was a hard rubber thing that hurt one's feet.

Renovations and upgrading taking place which improve look of rooms. Hallways quite dark interior. Staff, concierge very helpful. Food always generous and well presented with room service quick. Exec room small and view of car park not very exciting. TV menu for checking out or account details etc convenient. Good facilities to meet all travelers tastes.Overall an enjoyable stay.

The body of the hotel, including the Bar, was cold. The bar prices were very expensive. The tea/coffee facility in the room had no tea bags, milk or cups, and replenishing the items took far too long and required a reminder.

Smart hotel and room, but expensive due to its proximity to London Heathrow (10mins / GBP 9.00 in a Taxi) but fine for 1 night if travelling from Heathrow early the following day.
