Quest Potts Point Hotel Guest Reviews
location was good and the staff professional and accommodating. One challenge I found was that the taxi driver did not know/ could not get to the hotel so dropped me at kings cross at night in the pouring rain which entailed walking round the neighbourhood having to ask three people where to go - this would not be a problem in the day I suspect but was a bit off putting at night in the area. The room was nicely decorated if small, but I was given a basement room which was quite smelly and damp feeling, and I was a little concerned that the sheets appeared to have either not been washed or not washed properly as there was definitely hair in them. If I had not arrived so tired and late, I would have asked for another room but as it was I decided to just put up with it. A colleague staying on one of the higher floors seemed to have none of the problems that I did - so if I stayed again I woudl definitely ensure not a basement room. The shower may also be problematic for older or disabled people as the shower door was so heavy/stuck that it was impossible even for me to close it - so it would be very difficult for someone with difficulties. The roof garden however is fabulous and the local restaurants and cafes are good - plus of course the central sydney location. I would recommend this hotel to a friend, but suggest strongly that they check the room/ floor that they will be allocated and get detailed instructions on how to get there for teh taxi driver!

Would stay here again. Old style facade but very modern inside. The only problem we had was that some inconsiderate person had been smoking in our room the night before. We were changed with many apologies. Not the hotels fault.

I was very pleased with the level of appointment in this unassuming serviced apartment. It provided great value for money and while it doesn't have a pool, Bondi beach is only 20min away by public transport. In the heart of Kings Cross, it is close to supermarkets, banks, travel agents, restaurants and bars, the train and bus etc. It made my stay in an unfamiliar city most enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and the only cause for complaint was I had to wait 15min for my room to be ready. I just read the complimentary newspaper while I waited.

The room was on the smallish side (not called a petite suite for nothing), but it was clean and comfortable and fine for one. Great location - 100m from the train station and a 20 minute walk to the city. It's one street back from the main drag in Kings Cross, so there was no intrusion from the sounds of the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
