Even though we had booked a superior room I think we were first given the worst room in the hotel. Eventually after 4 attempts we got an OK room. Receptionist most unfriendly and unhelpful. Very good breakfast. I think the whole upstairs needs refurbishment, particularly carpets and curtains. No toiletries in bathroom -it felt morel like a bad B & B than 3 star hotel. Would definitely not use it again

I had room 202, was good. Very good was seperate toilet. not good was, that we had a cold day and no heating was working. parking was good but limited, it should be possible to book it in advance. To find it the map is not good enough, a description in words would be better ,as we missed the first turning and then it was very difficult to find to the hotel

Can't complain. The front office staff were very helpful. Kitchen staff were promptly responsive to request for hot water at breakfast time.

The entrance to the hotel was a lot more impressive than the room we were given. We asked for a non-smoking room, which was confirmed by the receptionist, but were given the key to a room on the 2nd floor. Entering the lift we noticed that there was a non-smoking floor which was on a higher level. However the room did not smell of smoking, so we accepted it. The room overlooked the lower roof and walls and was clearly not the best in the hotel. There were just two old pillows and one champagne glass and one whisky glass making us think that it was normally reserved for singles. It was clean and good enough to spend a night. Breakfast was good, except for the coffee which was barely warm, with the milk appearing as though it had been made with powdered milk. Parking was extra, but it was reasonably priced and secure.
