Stayed here for one night in September, the hotel is idealy located for most places in Plymouth, short walk to town centre, right on the Hoe , short walk to Baribcan and great view from room. We didn't use the amenites so can't say much about them, although good parking in own carpark. The price is great value for money will stay here again and would recommend it.

This hotel is in a great location handy for everywhere really, short walk into town, right next to the Hoe and the Barbican. The room was clean with a lovely view and the staff were friendly and helpful, can't say too much about the amenites because we didn't use any although they seemed to have everything you would need. After reading some of the reiews I was a little sceptical about the hotel, all I can say is if you want more you have to pay more. This hotel offers great value for money, will stay here again.

The location of this hotel is right for everywhere short walk into town, next to the Hoe great views. It does need updating abit, but for the price it is good value. We only stayed at the hotel we did'nt use the amenities so can't say too much about them. I was nearly put off by some reiews I had read about this hotel glad I wasn't, if people want more they have to pay more. Will stay here again.

Lovely location but tired and very aggressive signs warning of multiple rules and regulations. Stained sofa and scratched furniture. Leopard-print curtains in the main room. Bed not very comfy. Lovely views but very noisy when the wind blows off the sea. Expensive for very basic accommodation.

Very convenient location with lovely views from restaurant overlooking the estuary. Rooms were compact. Initial worries about poor quality/fitting double glazing proved unfounded as the nearby funfair closed down and moved out overnight without us hearing anything. No road traffic noise either. Good on site (free) parking. Everything has its price but I'd go back there again if town centre was what was needed.

Rooms are a bit tired but stunning views and easy parking. Breakfast a bit expensive. Still my first choice of hotel when visiting Plymouth.

The hotel is tired; restuarant meals expensive. Has good location on the hoe and a free car park. I guess you get what you pay for as it was very reasonable.

we only paid 45 pounds for a nights stay which was very good value for room only. The hotel is a bit tired, the staff were good but the view over the sound is its main redeeming feature. We have stayed at this hotel over many years but the price determines whether we stay there. I think this hotel is suffering from concrete cancer as the carpet was pulled up by the window and the crumbling concrete was on show. Lovely position with a free car park - a great plus in Plymouth. We would certainly stay there again at the right price - if it is still standing of course.

This is an excellent hotel in the budget catergory, excellent views over the Plymouth Hoe from the hotel and from the street. about a ten minute walk from the train station and shops, but the views and coastal walks make up for that. the all you can eat self service breakfast was of a very good quality, the rooms are clean and basic. highly recommended.

Basic hotel which to be honest looks awful from the outside, but inside it is much better. Stunning views from the restaurant and most bedrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff at breakfast - reception staff not so friendly. Rooms clean and spacious. Very nice shower. Unlimited fairly good quality buffet breakfast.

We stayed for two nights. we went down for breakfast at aprox 10am on the Saturday morning and there were 4 members of staff working in the resturant, not one person greated us with a 'good morning' we were not made aware that if eggs were required we had to request them and we were not offered tea or coffee - I had to go and ask for both items. The room looked gruby ie light switches very dirty and paintwork could do with a good scrub. torn sofa in the room and pubic hairs in the bath.

The location is first class, next to the Hoe and close to the town centre. Breakfast was expensive at £13 a day, a free continental breakfast should be provided. Car parking very good and it needs to be on the Hoe! I stayed in the executive floor, rooms clean and newly decorated, but you had to carry your luggage from level 8 to 9, as the lifts stopped at level 8!
