For inexperienced country people this was a great base to dump the bags and explore the city. With Southern Cross and trams stops across the road, good value for money and the staff were great.

Right opposite Southern Cross station, easy access to several tram lines, walking distance to city centre and Southbank etc. Breakfast was very basic and probably a little too expensive. Staff at front desk weren't the friendliest but fine. We were given a "free upgrade" which meant a bigger bed but an inside room (no view etc). That was fine as the room was clean and nice enough. It's not luxury but it's pretty good value and great location. Can't complain.

Location, location, location!Direct;ly across the road from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne. Close to everything you need in the heart of the city with free City Circle Tram a one minute walk. We caught Metro train to Melbourne Zoo on the day we checked out and were able to leave our bags in the Luggage Room at the hotel for the day ( at no charge) for pick up after our day out. We also went to Eureka Tower and experienced the fantastic views from the 88th floor before surviving The Edge - a fully glass surrounded room that suspends 3 metres out from the building 88 floors above the heart of Melbourne. Staff were helpful and courteous. Clean, comfortable hotel with all amenities in order.

The room was small - no chairs or small table as in the U.S - what I didn't like was the lack of privacy with the bathroom door. It was hinged to the wall but there was a gap and the door was transparent like. If all the rooms are like this I would likely not stay here again.

We liked the the location close to railway station,the room had a very small bathroom sink to bathroom was near entrance door.Beds were comfortable traffic noise quite but we did request a room with less traffic noise but l don't think we will be staying there again simply because of the small bathroom and where the bathroom sink was, also the shower kept getting hot and cold which was very annoying.
