I have stayed here before on several occasions, generally staying in a studio apartment. Generally I had good experiences, but the last two times have been poor, and I doubt there will be another. It turns out that not all studio apartments are the same - my last visit was a very small one with barely enough room to move. For example, if you are using the clothes dryer, you need to leave the doors to the "european laundry" open, which means you can't squeeze past to visit the bathroom. The bathroom was so small, you couldn't open the shower door and the main door at the same time. That's a real problem when you are trying to get a kid into the shower from the bedroom. And the toilet was behind the main door, with the door stopper banging against the toilet. So there was a towel rail on the door, but if you put a towel there it will touch the toilet when you open the door giving you a contaminated towel. A sliding door would have been much smarter. There were no shelves in the wardrobe, so bad luck unloading your luggage. Things have to go on the grotty dirty floor. No sponge to wash dishes with. Only one packet of laundry powder for one wash. No tissues. And this was the crappiest part - one spare roll of toilet paper. I stayed there 5 nights, and obviously one roll is not going to last that time. I happened to see a cleaner and asked for another roll on the 3rd night, but ran out again on Day 5. So I went to reception to ask for a roll of toilet paper. They wanted to charge me $1 for it! What? The cretin behind the counter started to say that the apartments are not serviced and you get a discounted rate for staying a longer duration (which is a half truth - i.e. bull) and you only get a "starter pack" when you check in, which is one spare roll of toilet paper. What does the apartment not being serviced have to do with me getting toilet paper? I had to go downstairs to reception to get the toilet paper, so clearly it's not about whether the room is serviced, but whether they are so stupid that they will charge $1 for a roll of toilet paper. And I should add, the toilet paper they use is not far from sandpaper - the cheap stuff. I couldn't believe it. Not only was the room small, they don't even give you toilet paper. I asked the guy if it's worth annoying your customers off for a dollar. And out of principle I bought the toilet paper from the Coles about 30 metres away. I don't know what's happened to this place. I stayed here in 2008 and it was good but the last few visits have been poor, and after the toilet paper incident there's no way I'd come back unless absolutely necessary. The ONLY thing good about this place is the free parking and location. But overall - a pathetic experience this time.

I thought that I had booked special discount, but I got couple of levels lower room standard. No washing machine or balcony. The room was like a prison cell. There was a starter kit for tea and coffee, but when you run out, you had to pay for refill. Location was nice. Walking distance from everywhere and buss station across the street.

Cheaply built, noisy location, cheap furniture. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, which I would liken to an Ibis-Standard hotel, but with a kitchen. I won't be staying here again.

Good location but rooms were very tiered with pretty poor rrom facilities given the rate. No reception on our arrival at 8pm. Would not stay here again.

This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I am including dodgy hostels in my youth in that statement. The room was cramped, there was no proper bedding - only blankets on the bed. The double bed was two single pushed together. The TV did not work properly, the kitchen utentils and equipment was dirty. The entire room was dirty and worn. The bathroom was also dirty. The linen and towels was old and worn. They only supplied one satchet of dishwasher liquid, after which you needed to buy it from reception. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I developed a bad rash on my chest whilst staying there that looked suspiciously like bed bug bites. I have pictures to prove it. The lifts worked intermittently and the corridors had a funny smell. If I hadn't been too busy with work commitments, I would have - and should have on after thought - moved out and got a full refund straight away. This hotel is definitely not worth the value and should be avoided at all costs.

apartment was compact but plenty big enough for three people, the balcony was small but ok, no view as such. The kitchen was modern with good facilities and very clean, there is ample parking right next door as well as talk aways and a supermarket and the apartment is about 5 mins walk from the Gabba and several good pubs and clubs and an easy walk to south Brisbane. good value for money. Would def use again.

I rated my stay at Q Resorts very highly. The staff were excellent and very efficient. My room was spacious and clean, with a nice view of the Gabba cricket ground. The resorts are in an apartment block that includes a gym, a pool, several restaurants, a coles and a Gloria Jeans coffee shop all in the one place. Southbank was just a 20 minute walk away. For short stays (I stayed 2 nights) the supplied toiletries and coffee/tea is sufficient, and the 2 hour complimentary internet access was great. For longer stays, expect to pay more for these services. Also, the room is not regularly clean for short stays - this may bother some, but for just 2 nights it was okay. Overall, highly recommended!

The location is excellent with a great supermarket and bakery at ground level. Have stayed there before and the last room had 3 light bulbs not working. The television reception is poor and the lift is the slowest lift I have ever waited for. The residents say it a constant source of irritation and frustration. The location and outside facilities/shops make up for the slow lift. All round good value and more than likely will stay again.

Staff just do there job and no more. Only 1 coffee cup in the room to share between 2, asked reception for another one but it was never bought up. Would stay there again for 1 night as we go to the footy.

I enjoyed my 2 nights. Very comfortable and clean with good facilities (kitchenette, personal w/machine, clothes dryer, TV, DVD, FOXTEL, pool, gym, sauna). The staff were very courteous, pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again. Across the road from the Gabba Oval and 25 minute walk to South Bank, with public transport outside if you desire.

reception was very helpful; only drawback on Sat night was a very noisy party on a top balcony; the soundproofing was not great, and we had to listen to these wretched yahoos for several hours; would think very seriously about staying there again; pity; all else was very good

Ideal for anyone like us, doing a lot of travelling and in need of somewhere to break our journey and get our act together. I just wish I had found out about this type of accomadition before booking hotels in Sydney and Melbourne. It's just like having your own home for a few days.
