On our arrival the desk staff couldn't have been nicer or more informative. This was consistent throughout our trip. Our room was a different story. It was quite small and the area to move around in was negligible. I had requested a king bed because I'm tall but only got a queen. As a result I was cramped and constantly hitting my wife (we have a king at home). It was only a 5 minute walk to the French quarter but the immediate area was dull. The "valet" service was hit and miss. The price was good considering that it was the weekend of the BCS championship game but I would choose another hotel on another trip to NOLA.

Extremely pleasant with a very knowledgable staff. Loved it and would definitely stay again. The guys on Valet were very very helpful. Love it!

Arrived at the Hotel on Camp St but they told me I was at another one of their hotels a few blocks away. A little inconvenient. You would think they would of let you know this. Otherwise everything was fine as far as the room. They tried to charge me for two days parking when I only parked one. There are some hidden charges that will come out when you get your bill, be aware.

It was a very small corner room. The rug was stained and there was no stopper in the bath. I have stayed here in the past, but it wasn't this run down. They need to update and fix up a little. Not the best night sleep....

Great price, service is a little less than average. After staying at several marquee hotels in downtown New Orleans, the service here left a lot to be desired. But for about $85 a night and cheap parking, it was about what i expected. Room is tiny, but it was very clean and the location is prime. Very close to the dome, Bourbon Street and warehouse district.

This hotel is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful. The room was quaint, but a bit small. There was a very thin blanket on each bed, but not enough to keep you warm. We asked for extra blankets and the said they had no extras. Aside from a few small drawbacks, this is a hotel I would stay at again, I would be sure to bring blankets from home, and get a bigger room. The location was close to Jackson Square and Riverwalk, and not too far from the Dome.

The hotel was perfect for our football weekend in New Orleans. Everything was in walking distance to hotel and staff was very helpful. Our toilet got stopped up and we called the front desk and within 10 minutes someone was there to fix it.

When I go noline and book a hotel I expect to get the final price - or - They might tell you their will be a surcharge or tax added upon arrival. Beware - The Queen and Crescent has a surcharge of about $10 a night that is not advertized in their online rates. So we started off on the wrong foot with the surcharge. The lobby is nice. Beautiful art and a bar in the entrance are welcoming. Nice antiques adorn the halls and the furnishings are nice enough (better than your average hotel at this price. The air unit is covered in that dust / spiderweb stuff that builds up when you don't clean them. The bath looks good enough when you look at it but the shower head, OMG, I would have been better off using an eye dropper. With better management this place could be great. If you need ten dollars more per night just add it to the price you charge online. Be honest with your customers or they will not come back. BTW. We stayed at the St. James last time we were here and we will stay with them the next time we come back.

I am often in New Orleans. It appears to me that they allways charge 30% for everything for that NO "magic" and it appears that there is "special" price increase on everything to recover from Katrina. Hotel is OK altough barrely. Everything is old and even if it is clean it feels dirty. Room was De luxe whatever that menas. I am wandering what standard room looks like. Our room was 10x11 feet very claustofobic. Internet charge was $10????, this is rip off. There is no parking, one across the street was $ 25 per night, way to expensive. All in all I will not stay there again unless able to find better place. Room charge was $ 139 which is pricey for this place.

This is my second stay at this hotel and I love the location. It is within walking distance to the Superdome and two blocks from Bourbon, Royal and a few blocks from the river. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are a little small but very nice. The price was great.

The hotel itself is semi-luxurious with a lot of nice personal touches if you appreciate architecture and furniture. The people were FANTASTIC! Great customer service and if a manager is reading this give David (at the front desk) a raise! My only complaints are that there is a hidden daily fee ($8/day I think) and the rooms are freezing at night (due to air conditioning). If you are on a budget but want to be close to the waterfront, Canal St, and the French Quarter, I doubt you will find a better place.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights. The location was great as we were in walking distance of everything. Bed could be a little more comfortable. One day room was not cleaned very well and no fresh towels left for the next day....but overall was good and we would stay there again.

When I arrived at the hotel, their internet was down and so they were having a hard time checking people in. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to get checked in. Then that same night I went out after unpacking my suitcase and putting things away and when I returned from Boubon Street later that night I discovered that somone had broken into my room, slept in my bed, used my toothbrush and almost all of my mouthwash. I reported this to the front desk and they called the police. I was upgraded to a nicer room. The police knocked on my door at 6 AM to question me and write a report. Then the maid service arrived at 9:30, needless to say I did not get much sleep that night . The toilet in my hotel room overflowed two times as well.

My bf and I were in N.O. for 5 days celebrating my 30th bday. The hotel was adequate. It is in a good location, reasonably priced. The "breakfast" is lacking. But other than that a nice retreat for a few days.

Overall, a good value. The lobbies of both hotels are quite nice. The staff was attentive, but not overly helpful. The room was made-up daily with no problems. The facilities could have used a bit of updating. Parking was a serious issue. $32 a day to park with the hotel. There is an adjacent lot (run by a separate company) that is $22 a day. Just a warning that they will likely triple park you in this lot, and you will have to wait a very long time for the ONE parking lot attendant to get to your car. Can be very frustrating if you have to be some place at a specific time. Overall, parking in New Orleans is no bueno.
