Location
Hotel Punta San Martino is located in the beautiful coastal town of Arenzano, well known for its unique shops and excellent restaurants. Arenzano is 13 km west of the Genoa airport. Make sure to take the time to see the Acquario di Genova, Europe's largest aquarium, also in Genoa.

Good: Friendly and helpful staff, great swimming pools, nice buffet breakfast, large clean rooms, nice views Not so good: Dangerous walk down the road to the township, lack of maps and brochures for local activites, no bar, no internet facilities, no bath robe provided, shower in standard room substandard for a four star hotel

Having booked a double room for my fiance and me, we were disappointed to discover we had a twin room! We went for a weekend and dined both evenings in the hotel. The first night, they couldn't wait to get rid of us and, in fact, brought out my main course whilst I was still eating my starter and hovered by our table until we finished! Two swimming pools, which are really good. The big one has a diving board and is large enough to look after a large crowd. The smaller pool is by the restaurant and seemed less popular so gives more seclusion, if that is what you want. A good mix of Italian, German, English guests and all across the age spectrum. It's also possible to get a cable car down to a private beach from the hotel, but the sand didn't look too clean and the hotel is next to a harbour that is being built so we settled for the pool.

Excellent situated Hotel on a small hill overlooking the Genova Bay and Arenzano. In walking distance to the village center and easy to reach through the cable teleferic. Rooms are spacious and equipped with a kitchenette. Very friendly and helpful personnel.
