Parking was dreadful, don't bother taking your car with you. Buffet breakfast was ordinary, shower was woeful (no pressure). We expected better from a "4 star hotel" especially on our family adventure to melbourne in the school holidays. Dissappointed.

Nice hotel but we were disgusted by the amount charged for parking. It said $16 per day but on the first day after checking in we went out shopping so only having been on site for 1 hour we had to pay $12 to get out. Also terrible shower- no pressure and constantly going from hot to cold. Great location but average buffet breakfast. Dissapointed!!

Unfortunately we had a room that had an adjoining door to the next room and we could hear everything that was said and their alarm was going off at 5.45am and they could not work out how to turn it off, it went on and off for 45 minutes. We were not impressed.

A really great location for the Australian Band Competition during the Easter long weekend. It was very convenient to be staying on site. The ballroom used for the competition was elegant and comfortable - unfortunately imperfect re acoustics. We stayed 4 nights. Our room was well appointed, pristinely clean and roomy. Room 'refreshment' was a little late on 2 of the days..however we accept that the venue was very busy with band people and we were all coming and going a lot. We reported a concern re the airconditioning. We never want a 'fridgy 'room but it would be difficult to feel cool and refreshed on a HOT day if that was the best the system could do. Hopefully they will react to our feedback. The staff were always friendly, polite and accommodating. On site dining was expensive.

My two daughters and I found this hotel to be roomy and clean with helpful staff. Only a couple of minutes by tram to the city centre, ample parking (at an extra cost... doh!) and with a beautiful pool and spa. Will definately stay there again :-)

I love this hotel because the staff are so nice and helpfull, It is right across from the park where you can walk/run feed the ducks go out for dinner, go hire a boat etc. also close to a tram stop and it is so easy to get around to st kilda or melbourne. The room is big with a good size bathroom, the gym has dumbells, treadmill, row machine and other weight machines. the pool and spa are good aswell as the sauna. It is good value for money and the coffee shop down stairs is also great value. would recomend to family and friends.

Very noisy, loud music and thumping could be heard from 10.00pm right through till after 2.00am - hotel security even came to OUR room asking if we were playing loud music!! People running up and down the corridors late at night, loud conversations, and children playing in the corridors from 7.00am. Hotel staff didn't seem too concerned at any of these issues, didn't even have ear plugs after we asked.

I hadn't stayed here for about 5 years and was delighted to find everything in pristine condition. Staff were excellent and the reataurant meals were much better than expected.

I'd recommend this hotel. The staff were excellent. There was some sort of noise coming from the car park area that made it difficult to sleep, but I spent an extra night in a different room and slept soundly! Can recommend the breakfast.

The service in this hotel was outstanding. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly to all their customers. It has really stepped up in the last year or so when I stayed with friends last time. Will stay again!

Location was excellent across the road from Albert Park and 5mons from St Kilda Beach. Easy to get to places by car and tram. Room was good size and clean. Had sideways view over lake and St Kilda in the distance. On the downside, queen bed only had 2 pillows and room had poor Foxtel choice and screen was pixellated. Maid service was varied with some items not replaced on weekend.

I advise all future guests to scrutinise the "extras bill" as they had added "valet parking" to my 7 day stay - i did not have a car with me. The "non smoking" hotel, was a poor description. I frequently smelt cigarette smoke wafting around on the upper floors, yet nothing was done to resolve this. Further, in light of the charges applied to the room rates, to pay extra for a basic breakfast restaurant, is "nit picking" in my opinion. In my opinion, the hotel is ok, but nothing special. Best left to business meetings of short duration. I spent 7 days as a guest, and it was not something i would repeat.

the staff are very friendly. location is good, 5 min drive to the CBD. though no free parking in the hotel, but easy to find free street parking after 6pm the only bad thing is it may be noisy in the morning because of lots of travel tours leaving in the early morning
