Very good beds, bathroom and buffet breakfast with free use of internet. Adjacent to excellent restaurants like JJs

We booked a double room with a double bed which was confirmed and then they proceeded to give us a room with twin beds pushed together. We went back and complained and at first they were reluctant to give us a room with a double bed! It took some complaining and then another receptionist changed our room. We were annoyed as they obvioulsy had a room available so why not give it to us in the first place as per our booking? Service at breakfast was also poor as they were under staffed . We also found a maggott in our orange juice. Whilst this is not a reflection on Protea Hotels as a chain, we would not receommend the Protea Kynsna, next time preferring to stay in a local B & B.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing I might critiscize was that the breakfast service seemed a bit disorganised with tables taking a long time to be cleared away for people to be seated. Other than that everything was excellent.

This is a typical "bus hotel" where a lot of busses arrive at around 5 o'clock so a lot of movement and travlers.
