Prince Resort Hawaii
4 out of 5

Stayed one night en-route to New York. I picked Hawaiian Prince due to proximity to Ala Moana shopping centre. For that it was very good. About a 5 min walk from hotel across the bridge to the shopping centre - which had good variety of shops, food court and restaurants as well as Macy's. Decent double beds (comfortable for 3 adults) with lovely full view of water. Located a bit away from Waikiki strip but take the Pink trolley bus ($2 per ride) into Waikiki. Pros - good for quick stopover and proximity to shopping centre with decent sized rooms and ocean views at reasonable price compared to Waikiki hotels. Staff were accommodating and we got early check in upon arrival in the morning from Oz. Cons - away from action of Waikiki beach and no swimming beach directly in front of the hotel. If staying for a few days, I would stay at a hotel in Waikiki, which we did on our way home.

My husband and I live in Honolulu and delight in playing tourist. The rooms were beautiful and the view extraordinary. We were there for New Years Eve and found the Taiko Drum show quite a nice addition. We also has a lovely meal at the Prince Court Restaurant.

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel is now completely renovated and some of the reviews online are not accurate anymore. We feel you will enjoy the stay as a single or a romantic getaway.

booked a hotel/car combo for 4 days in Waikiki for a sudden business trip the day before I left. Way more than I expected, both the brand new Chevy Sonic rental and the large and open ocean view room on the 29th floor. The price was less than either a car or room for the stay, let alone both.

The Prince hotel is in a great location. Every room has an amazing view of the ocean. The pool is quite large.

This hotel had a 4 star rating but was average at best. Rooms were no better than a basic middle of the road 2 to 3 star hotel/motel, like a Holliday Inn or Comfort Inn. The location was just OK. Good veiw of the harbor if you like looking at a mountian of floating garbage. The harbor was filthy. The Pool was on a windy roof top and was not worth using and from what I could see nobody did. The price was reasonable for the area but it was still not worth it. This hotel does not come close to deserving a 4 star rating.

we reserved a non-smoking king bed room 3 month ahead, however when we arrive me and my wife were giving an smoking room, and the hotel staff refuse to change room for us, after threatening to change hotels, the manager was called and we were change to a double double room, which makes it very awkward for me and my wife to stay, after spending one night here we realise the air-con was not working and we had to sleep in cold, the next day after seening the manager one more time, we finally got the room we reserved, a king bed non-smoking room, however this time there are ants in the room, so we ccan not leave any food in the open for longer than 1 hour otherwise they will be swarmped with ants. the manager did apologze with a cheese plate and a bottle of wine but the stay at this hotel kinda made our first trip hawaii less than pleasant

Our experience staying at Hawaii Prince was totally superb. We have nothing but praise for every aspect starting with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the comfort and priceless ocean view from our room, the perfect location on Waikiki, and the reasonable cost of our flight/rental car/hotel provided by Orbitz. And Orbitz kept us reminded and fully informed with phone calls about our flight details, flight changes, arrival and departure gates for each leg of each flight. I've been around the world, but this was a WOW experience.

I was on business and really liked the location because it saved me from having to navigate congested Waikiki streets to get to my meetings. And I was close enough to Waikiki to walk to my favorite places to relax. All the staff at the hotel were most hospitable and helpful. Room was very comfortable, except for the chair. I would have preferred a more traditional easy chair. the desk chair was great.

I liked the Hotel and how it was the first stop on most of our tours. Room service is fantastic. I can not say I have any complaints.

Great hotel with a pool and hot tub on the 5th floor rooftop overlooking a boat dock. Easy walk into bustling Waikiki for all the food and expensive shopping you need. Buses and bus/trolley rides available to everywhere you would want to go. Tons of Japanese dining within walking distance. Nail salon and a bar are located in the hotel. Our room was on the 23rd floor with a view of the ocean and boat dock/harbor. We watched the sunset from the room through the large windows that slide open. Beds are comfortable but the pillows are mushy and weak. Room had a very nice bathroom, a large TV, and a small fridge.

Although not on the beach, this Hotel is just west of Waikiki. It sits on the edge of the marina. The hotel is excellent. A great surprise and one of the best bargains in Honolulu. The hotel has a great restaurant and caters to an Asian clientele. I stayed at a "Prince" hotel in Japan and I think this is part of their "group." Well run and a fine modern facility. All the glitz of Waikiki without the crowds.

This hotel has great promise. Soon they will begin a major renovation and the minor flaws they have will go away. They are on the ocean and only 5 miles or so from the airport. The rooms are a little dated, but the scheduled renewal will fix their short comings. I would recommend this place, but you may want to wait until the remodel is over. The location, while not in the major resort area, is excellent. Great value if the prices stay about the same as they are today.

I thought the hotel was great, most of staff was friendly, housekeeping was on point. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey 21.50. Liked the location it was near enough to wakiki but far enough to have that peace and quiet that we all need.

This is our second time at this hotel and we will definitely come again. The view of the harbour was spectacular and the room spacious and clean. The shopping center and great restaurants were within walking distance.

We liked the hotel. However, the location is not closed to Waikiki beach and the major street shopping area. The hotel provides shuttle and the shuttle leaves about every half hour starting 12:30 p.m.. There is a nicer beach next to the hotel ( Ala Moana Beach Park), but you will not be able to rent any equipments there. There is no vendor at this local beach. The Ala Moana Center is nearby. You can do most of your shopping there.
