Prime Hotel Beijing
4.6 out of 5

This is a great hotel and the staffs are friendly and polite. They helped me to locate some packages efficiently and always helped us to get a taxi without any complaints. The location is excellent and it will be even better because the subway will be extended to the intersection of the hotel next year. I did not rank the facilities very good because the hotel card somehow got "demagnetized" from time to time and the room we stayed does not have fan in the bathroom. I did not rank pricing very good because the local calls are charged. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.

The location is a walk-away to the WangFujing night market where you get to eat the infamous fried scorpion, starfish and sea horse. The sheets were always clean and the bathroom was really big. However, buffet breakfast had little variety. The ONE IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR in this hotel are the people manning the Concierge. They charge you more than what is necessary. For example, getting a cab to the airport where they first charged us 300rmb which we found very outrageous considering the airport is only 40 minutes away.Hence, we declined. But later on, we got to talk with the hotel manager, he gave it for 200rmb which is the regular price. We also asked the concierge to have our train tickets refunded so they charged us an extra 100rmb for that which they said was for going to the train station, when the station was only 10 minutes away! So our advice is...always deal with the Hotel manager and not the people at the concierge when it comes to bargaining about the price.

Excellent value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff, no problems with english. Location a little bit off, will choose a hotel closer to subway next time.

Ideal location, just 5 minute walk from the Wangunjing Pedestrian Street and close to main turist attractions. Room was above average size with a bathroom with separate shower and tub. Good selection at Breakfast. Maybe just 4½ star hotel compared to many others.

This hotel is about 10 min. walk to the main shopping area in Beijing. Our taxi driver didn't know the English name of this hotel, so it took us sometime to find the hotel. Make sure you have the hotel phone number with you so the taxi driver can call the hotel.

Superbly appointed hotel, and located in a nice part of town. Was a considerable walk from the subway, but taxi rides to the major attractions are not expensive. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed but too hot so we opened the windows. Nicely positioned near Tiananmen Sq on a good street. Breakfast (included) fine - they have Asian and western choices. The pool and spa are extra and the pool is small.

Extremely disappointed with the level of service. Staff are rather indifferent and totally demotivated.

Nice hotel - had free movies running continuously, so when tired of tourism can relax with something other than CNN!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, despite the staff being not as friendly and attentive as one might expect for a hotel of this grade.

I would recommend this hotel to a friend! Very good location in downtown and walking distance to Forbidden City. Staff is friendly and helpful. The maid we never saw in person brought us a box for something we had bought and that needed a box to transport it - and we never asked for it! As we like to exercise also during a vacation, we used the gym, which was sufficient but not really 5 star. Rather old equipment. Otherwise nice and clean. All in all the Prime Hotel is very good value for money.

Tthis is a fine hotel and in general our stay was very enjoyable. On the last morning, however, the cashier forgot to return my credit card with my hotel receipt and by the time I realized it was time to get on the plane. The hotel charged me fifty bucks to return my card which doesn't seem professional to me in the circumstances.

The hotel has an excellent central location. It is modern, up to date and the staff's attitude is very good. I had reserved a Superior room but upon my arrival, I found out that I was upgraged to DeLuxe room at no extra cost. I had a most enjoyable stay and I would recommend it highly to potential guests.

Although accomodation and service (tour service included) were very good, it was difficult to find a free table in the breakfast room. I would recommend it.

I think this is good but it`s a 4 star hotel the rooms are 3-4 star rest of the hotel is 4-5 star. The breakfast ends 10.00 but we are not used that the staff tell us to leave the breakfast exact 10.00. The windows was very dirty. But I will recommend friends and stay at this hotel if the rate is like this. The location of the hotel was very good. The staff in reception and information was 5 star.

Excellent location, quite close to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, etc. Walkable in cooler weather for sure (and even in the heat wave we experienced, we walked it more than once). The room was not really large enough for the extra bed we had requested. Bathroom was VERY nice, with both shower and tub. Staff was quite helpful but had limited English skills. Taxis were always at the ready! Our one complaint: the air conditioning was rather weak in the entire hotel, and seemed to cut off in the middle of the night and resume at around 5:00 a.m. This made for uncomfortable conditions, and was a problem other families noticed. Nice Asian-style breakfast. The Business Center had high-speed internet access, not found in the other hotels we sayed in.

Even if the hotel doesn''t fit all international standards for a five star, the attention is very good, breakfast is extensive and it is extremely well placed.
