Prescott Inn Kuala Lumpur - Medan Tuanku

The lobby, room is clean (maybe due to newly renovated). One lift is under maintenance, the overall environment is nice & clean. International adaptor (for oversea customer) can be use in the room because the wall socket is like 5 star hotel which can fit difference type of charger. Room (king size bed) with iron, study table, hair dryer, dressing table, paper slipper, refregerator & LCD TV.

The location is quite good, and it is quite comfortable. but it smells really bad when we get into the room. anyway it is still worth the price.

The hotel is good for travellers looking for: 1) A room for a good n sound sleep. 2) Near to public transport ie monorail, Lrt n Ktm( bandaraya n Bank Negara). 3) near to food n shopping malls. 4) friendly staff...better than tunehotels. Tunehotel is across the road. So for budget concious travellers, perhaps tunehotel is a better choice. One thing i though i must mention here is that the staff are all so bloody friendly. I have never come across a hotel with such friendly staff my life.. You have to see to believe. Really thumbs up! There is another hidden gem, the inhouse restaurant on level one serves very good n healthy grilled chicken chop with salad n chips. The cost was amazingly cheaper that outside the hotel. Oh my god.... Was it just me being lucky with the hotel or they are simply that good....

Well I have stayed in Diamond Standard hotels, some 5,4, 3 and 2 star hotels in my travels around the world, I would put this hotel around a 2 star hotel. The staff are quite friendly, but the hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. Take for instance the so call feature wall in the room I stayed in was terribly painted, my 13 year old daughter could have done a better job. It looks like dry rot or white ants have been into some of the timbers in the bathroom. The tiles were badly laid, grout everywhere, and the whole place needs to be brightened up and a cleaning crew go through with some bleach and elbow grease. They need to invest in some qeen size and king size beds as well. We ate in the bistro for breakfast, it was average, then we went up to the restaurant and tried the fare, it wasn't bad. I can recommend the vegetable soup. Well prepared and tasty. Would I stay at the Prescott Inn Medan Tuanku Kuala Lumpur again, most probably, but they need to really get their act together. I also indicated that I would not recommend this hotel to a friend, if they cleaned up their act, I could change my mind. Cheers!

seriously - the people behind the counter and all their supporting staff are "second to none". Nowhere do you experience he level of considerate, polite, genuine interest and friendliness from people like the Malay people. The hotel is quite simple, yet incredibly tidy and very welcoming, well positioned for transport, markets and malls. the breakfasts are entertaining - not a full experience at all - but don't get me wrong, its not from lack of trying - they take what they offer very seriously - its wonderful. i highly recommend the Prescott. Thank you for the great place to stay. Dave

It was a very good place to stay in for it's price. Free wi-fi in all rooms was very useful. Some portion were under renovation during my stay (October 2010) but it was still decent. The room was able to accomodate 4 of us. I would come back next time.

while the hotel was under renovations, and the staff had difficulty in communicating and helping, I liked the place. Very reasonable price and good facilities.

As we arrived, the lobby was a complete building site, there weren't even any safe steps up to the entrance. no renovations had been stated on any website, you don't find out until after you have paid and turned up. Breakfast was dismal, old soft chocolate cereal, dried up fruits etc. TV doesn't work properly. You have to get a new code for the internet each day. Staff are ok, housekeeping are friendly enough. Food from the restaurant/room service, totally below standard. Not too far from monorail, 2-4minutes walk.

room was comfortable enough, lrt/trains etc within walking distance. however during the night, the area does not seem very safe as it was very quiet & not very well lit. just take extra pre-cautions if you are returning late & need to walk to the hotel. parking space is also very limited. enjoy your stay .... .

Extremely pleased with the Prescott Inn. I arrived very late at midnight at the same time as a large tour party and was dealt with in a and my booking was actioned with efficiency and courtesy, a real bonus to be up graded. Room very clean, well appointed and equipped. Staff extremely helpful and so polite. Highly recommended and will go back. The Prescott is close to the Monorail so easy access to all facilities.

I've stayed in the hotel a few times and I liked it very much. EVen recommended to my friends and relatives and they also liked it. Front desk service is good except for one whom I think need to go for course. Either than that no problem. Good and the price is right. Easy to get around, hungry no problem, 24 restaurant is just infront. It would be great if they have family room or Quad Room. Thanks.
